Are full of ****. Just because his wins over Hatton and Marquez are criticized you think a win over Pacquiao will be, too? There are legitimate reasons to criticize some of Mayweathers wins, but unless he winds up getting a gift decision or something along those lines, there is no way Mayweather won't be given credit if he beats Pacquiao. Pac is the P4P number one fighter in the world and they're competing at the same weight-class. Mayweather isn't making Pac come up in weight like Hatton or Marquez. Manny isn't past his prime like DLH or Marquez. Pacquiao is a huge win, and if he wins it legitimately, even if he does so in boring fashion, he deserves all the credit in the world and he will be given that credit by any reasonable boxing fan.

That being said, I think Floyd Mayweather is an absolute **** and I hope he gets ball cancer. I'm also picking Pacquiao.

Yep, full props to Mayweather if he wins against Pac. And it'll do a lot to curb the criticism thrown against him about not fighting the best at Welterweight (even though, Pac is just borderline WW). I just hope that after the fight, he continues to fight the best at WW (and maybe even at 154).

Mayweather will get credit, but probably not as much as he'd like because of his history. The only win I see Floyd getting a lot of credit for is if he could beat Paul Williams. Floyd's ducking and methodical fighting style has dug him in a hole that he will be hard pressed to climb out of. Is it fair? Probably not, but that's just the way it is for him. Now, if Pacquiao wins...well, that's a whole other story.

  4. Well according to Floyd, Manny is "one dimensional", lacks "versatility", and his recent three wins aren't that impressive. Floyd also notes that Manny has "already been beaten by Morales", and fought two close fights with Marquez. Apparently the fact that he was stopped a decade ago on body shots is also highly relevant! So, according to Floyd, Manny is not that good so all we can conclude is a victory over him SHOULDN'T be rated that highly!

Luckily for Floyd, most of us don't listen to him.

It's funny how Floyd himself and some fans downplay Pac's achievements and skills because that would mean that Floyd's best win (if he wins) would be against someone who is "one dimensional".

Nobody would fight Williams at welterweight except Margarito and I don't even think he wanted to.

somebody made a thread like this before he fought ricky hatton...that **** went like 20 pages long and everyone said if floyd knocked hatton out that they would give him credit for being the best of this era but they doubt he could knock him out cuz of power etc etc......

Those same fans on here are still bitching about him fighting ricky in the first place...pretty much the same **** u just said but for the hatton fight...

He will get credit for beating pac but it wont be the type of credit as pac got for beating cotto...

If you didn't "listen" to him you wouldn't have that long list memorized by heart.

  12. Not many as far as I can. It seems so many people here have their self esteem intertwined with some boxers success. It's the same with all the "cheer squads", but the jealousy, bitterness and denial is pretty bad with the FLoyd boys at the moment.

  13. I meant "listen", as in take what he says seriously. ;)

Seriously wishing Floyd to get cancer is a disgusting thing, he only PLAYS the bad guy to sell fights because he couldn't as a humble guy (Mosley anyone?).

And can you really blame them. No offense to Williams hes an amazing boxer but he's not a WW. I mean seriously he's 6'2" giving him a good 5" or more height advantage over most other WW. Seriously he is a great light middleweight and middle weight and that is where he belongs.

I also don't buy his claim that he can still make 147 and if he did he would be severely weight drained.
