Being an arrogant trash talking ass-hole isn't a rational reason to hate someone?

I dont think he is an arrogant trash talking *******, but that it what some people want to make him out to be. And people cuss, and talk trash all the time, unless they are talking to you why do you care? This is boxing, the fighters are supposed to be judged on their fights, not what you think about them perosnally especially if you dont know the fighter personally.

That's right...i've been stating that most of the complaints about mayweather is his choice of opposition over the past 7 years.

Because you're not around them to actually know that and because men generally don't care about things like that about other men, got it??

see///this is why a victory over pac isn't gonna do as much for floyd as it would for another fighter....

His quality of opposition..hmm...undefeated ranked #8 in the world at the time ricky hatton...dominating the 135lb champion after being off for 19 months...beating the best 154lb fighter at the time in oscar de la hoya...

Quality of opposition isn't bad...i think what your reffering to is the fact that he didnt fight cotto or mosley..not gonna mention margarito cuz he wasn't worth **** than n he aint worth **** now....hes exciting to watch and thats where it stops...he will always be beat by any slick boxer with good handspeed that moves a lot...see mosley-margarito for a source..

Those were his two best choices over the past 7 years and was not only rewarded monetarily, he was given fighter of the year honors.

But before that, it was very questionable.

Lets just hope he makes this fight happen and doesn't make choosing fighters like Marquez a trend.

Making threads like this invites criticism. Why not start it on a positive note, like :

"Floyd is making negotiations flow smoothly, proving to critics that he wants this fight."

If the TS is a floyd fan, emphasize the good. It will invite praise more than critique.

P.S. Arum sucks and I'd rather see a boxing match happen on May rather than a f'n election.

"What is there to criticize about Floyd now??"

Just the fact that Manny will clean out the WW division while PBF continues to shout p4p at anyone who will listen.

I don't give a f**k so I'll say it as I see it. Floyd is easy to dislike/hate principally because of his braggadocios behaviour, success in the squared circle and because he's BLACK. He's not your typical uncle tom "yes massa" boxer and the establishment, let alone the paying masses, cannot deal with it.

Floyd Mayweather became marketable due to his boxing skills and loud mouth; prior to that being a gentleman - monetarily - got him no where in comparison to his immediate peer at the time Dela hoya. So dredge up whatever spurious or manufactured reason you need to justify your hatred/dislike for him and keep paying for those PPVs to see him get knocked out. Money in the bank baby.

BTW - all you haters would still find reasons to hate Floyd - the boxer - even if he beat the **** out of Vitali Klitskcho.
