Jones got caught beind the back of the head behind his ear. The shot landed no where near his temple. It completey took his legs then Green just pumled Roy like a mad man to the body and head. Roy blocked most of the shots but he was'nt fireing anything back. I think the stoppage was premature tbh.
Fight couldve been stopped earlier. Green was all wrong for Jones. Green is a KO artist, Jones has a suspect jaw. I think Jones will fight again, I just think he needs to choose a lesser puncher. I think we all agree Jones was shot well before the Joey Cal fight, Its just that this time he got his hard and went down accordingly. Also, Jones changed his style after the JC fight, saying that he was going to get back to his old self - which meant, hands down and flashy, which means that his chin is there to be hit. Lacey couldnt hit it, because he aint much, never has been. Green aint a lot, but he will land shots and chase KOs.
Ok Green may not be the best guy out there, but RJJ aint the worst either. He is still quick and still dangerous and could still box rings around Green on another night no doubt... They are both still the fighter they were before the fight - Green maybe now has a little more cred... Where all forgetting the main fkn point though: RJJ started the fight with his left hand down! Had it been up where it should have been this wouldn't have happened. He lowered the guard on his suspect chin against a known KO artist. School boy error makes Jones look like a fool.
Green probably learnt how to hit flashy fighters after Mundine. Green never gane RJJ a chance to recover after the first knock and was hitting him with everything, most of the hooks were blocked but not the uppercuts. This wobbled RJJ further, you could clearly see RJJ's legs turn to jelly after they were separated. It was a good stoppage. Green pumled RJJ with what seemed to be 30 unanswered punches.
