That's a glancing shot though, I mean, on the Sam Peter scale of rabbit punching, it was a love tap. No way he should have gone down off of that.

Very nice post and nice video work done. Still, I can't fault Green at all. Jones turned into it. What Zab did to Floyd after nut-shotting hime was intentional and really, could have killed the young man. Danny Green simply decided to kick Roy's ass.

yeah, it's debatable because you're not posting any other angles - if you watched the fight you would have seen it from the front and clearly see that it connects with Jones' temple/ear and was therefore not illegal.

Well, you have to look at what caused this questionable blow. And i wouldn't call it illegal. Anytime a fighter turns his head in the heat of the moment in a split seconds notice, you can't fault the guy. Green wasn't trying to be dirty. This stuff happens.

I picked Jones UD . . . but let's not make excuses. If that was a rabbit punch . . . that was not intended because Jones ducked away from the coming punch. Thus he got hit at the back of the head. :deal

 

Roy lost, get over it. **** like this happens in boxing all the time. That wasn't prime Jones in there but he did just destroy Lacy. Roy clearly gave up the back of his head and that punch was intended for the side of his face. Your gifs prove that.

 

Looks almost like the punch Johnson got him with. Sad to see, Hang em up Roy!

 

Roy was still defending himself at the time of the stoppage though, not alot of those shots Green was throwing were landing.

Jones was on shakey legs when the ref stepped in.He's finished but for some reason seems to be trying to salvage something.I'm not a fan,but would hate to see him get seriously hurt,by continually looking for the holy grail.

The start of the punch landed on the ear as far as im aware that is legal.

The KO would have happened anyway i feel.

Just goes to show you what i always expected that the fight against Lacy was somewhat hyped.

The Lacy fight made Jones look good but if he was getting KO'd by Tarver of course someone with Green's Power was always a dongerous fight.
