NO reason why this fight should happen. None. But as a boxing fan, if it DOES happen...I'll watch. I wouldn't buy it, or even go to a sports bar to watch it, but I'd watch it on YouTube or something.

 

Zab lost to Baldo, but he didn't get KTFO in one round either.

 

Judah lost a close decision. He was still young and thought to be in his prime and was one fight removed from being the WBC WBA IBF Welterweight Champion of the world........ Jones got KO'd in one round and has been shot to **** for 6 years now.

I'm sorry, once again, but did you just say Roy Jones has been fighting the same level of fighters? Since 2006, this is who Roy has fought: Prince Badi Ajamu (who?), Anthony Hanshaw (who?), an overweight/washed up Felix Trinidad, been handily defeated by Joe Calzaghe, Omar Sheika (who?) and Jeff Lacy who hasn't been regarded as hardly anything since he got spanked by Calzaghe in 2005, and had since then nearly lost to a bum on ESPN2 and was beaten by Jermain Taylor.

This is who Hopkins has fought: Antonio Tarver, who perhaps was drained but was the LINEAL Light Heavyweight Champion. Winky Wright, who was overweight, but was still Winky Wright. Joe Calzaghe, whom he made a hell of a lot closer fight with than Jones, and Kelly Pavlik, who was young, the recognized Middleweight champion, and was thought by many if not MOST to be able to beat Hopkins.

Look man, you can make excuses for either way you want to go, but we're splitting hairs here. Hopkins' resume the past three years trounces Roy's, plain and simple, and if you can't see that, get your head out of your ass and see the light.

If I was a real RJJ fan I would see this? No, a real fan doesn't sit by and watch a legend get knocked out for a THIRD TIME at 40 years old, clearly past his best due to lack of reflexes and athleticism he once had, and say he should fight a man that has shown capabilities higher than his the past three years. A real fan wants to remember the titan he was, not the mortal he's become. A real fan doesn't want to see their fighter get hurt.

 

No matter what he answers he's still clearly ******ed. He just said in another thread that Danny Green should've been DQ'd.:roll:
