I can't believe what I'm hearing. I never thought Hopkins would still go for this fight after what happened. Ridiculous.
it was obvious. he's picking and choosing at this point (kind of how he always has), and he made a bad excuse, claiming that jones should have been allowed to continue.
He just said it on the post-fight interview on Versus. He said he didn't know how the KO happened, if it was like Tarver and Johnson's where he was on the canvas, or what. Then when he saw the TKO, he said "the man was still on his feet" and started saying how the ref in the Calzaghe fight gave Jones the benefit of the doubt, even though he had that cut. He also alluded to the fact that it was overseas had something to do with the stoppage, because most of the shots didn't look as if they were landing solidly.
OMG Bhop was gutted when he heard about RJJ. The guy is still going to push ahead with that ****. Just avenge a defeat but the victory will be meaningless.
He also said he was gonna be the Heavyweight champ in 2010, so it looks like he's gonna gun for Haye as well. I dunno about all that tho, after what I saw tonight. I mean, he still looks great, but... I dunno.
Bernard is full of ****ing ****. He knows full well Roy is done like dinner and yet now, after all the these years, he's trying to hype Roy up and give him the benefit of the doubt so he will look better when he beats Roy to a pulp.
oh well... the 50-50 or 60 to the winner & 40 to the loser discussion are out the window. Hopkins will demand prob 90 now! & roy 10. & roy prob take it! knowing his determination to get back at being that disillusional #1 again!
