How do I fix this? Seems like when I try to put my feet closer to each other I feel kinda unbalanced throwing punches.

Maybe I'm exagerating when I move my feet closer but I don't know.

Any tips, suggestions? Any basic guidelines for feet width?

    Thanks.

Keep your feet just under your shoulders.
Keep your elbows in and use your hips, legs and shoulders for generating power.
Also faster when pushing off the back foot.
You will lose alot of this with too wide a stance.

Work on stepping with your punches, go back and forth throwing the one two, stepping with each punch. I still have problems with this, but practice makes perfect

As in stepping and making sure my feet width is correct every time? Not sure I got what you said..

I think the distance between your feet is just another factor to your style. I dont think having them spaced is a bad thing, mine are farther apart then most. Look at Andre Ward for example. I'm pretty sure they dont just give those olympic gold metals away.

One factor of balance whether you have your feet close or wide could be if you're on your toes or not.

As in taking a step each time you punch, you want to push off your back foot and bring it with you.

I used to do the same, all i can say is practice cos although i felt when i had my stance larger like i had more leverage in my punches and better balance i realised i was completely wrong and it causes the opposite effect

Just practice moving in your boxing position. The more you do it, the more comfortable it will feel.

One thing that kind of naturally brought my stance in was doing a drill I read about in one of ross's old books. Just stand on one foot and shadowbox and throw combos with the best technique you can, do it with both feet. Eventually my legs just came together and moved and slipped alot easier.
