Roach offered Void a fight right after the Hatton fight, but Void refused. Why didn't Void fight Cotto? Margarito? Mosely? Pac? Void is void.

I'm sad to say that the tension of a tough negotiation will only build up the event more. If each of them fights again and both are presumably successful, it only makes their eventual fight bigger.

I'd still be surprised if this happens in the 1st half of 2010.

Roach and Pac want to fight Void very badly. Roach tried to get Void to fight Pac before the Cotto fight. Void refused and Pac Fought Cotto instead. A fighter Void refused to fight.

Burst ear drums are not an injury for which you can predict when they will be fully healed. Minimum they take 3 - 4 weeks to heal, but some are still not healed 3-6 months down the line. It simply depends on the person/how bad the injury is/if there is an infection - which is easy because obviously the first line defence - the eardrum itself - is no longer present.

"With a traumatic or explosive event, the loss of hearing can be great and ringing in the ear (tinnitus) may be severe. In this case the hearing usually returns partially, and the ringing diminishes in a few days.

Side effects of a perforated eardrum (burst eardrum) will definitely be excruciating pain. You will probably also suffer from vertigo and/or tinnitus"

Roach is right not to jump into an early fight date, because the ear hasn't healed yet, it would be stupid to commit to a date.

It's not just the ear, Pac has just been in a war with Cotto and took some heavy blows. the mind and body should be allowed to heal before training for his next fight begins.

Let's not kid ourselves, Floyd is a very skilled fighter, Pac needs to be 100% to win. Putting the fight off until he has fully healed and has had time to train is the most sensible thing to do.

It's not refusing to fight, it's making sure he is ready and then he will fight - clearly there is difference.

    Arum wouldn't even consider that.

Arum dislikes Floyd, he wouldn't try to **** Pac or even attempt to take such an offer to Pac.

Settle down with all this ducking **** FFS. It will happen, but I agree with Roach, the March date is way too soon, especially with the injury Manny suffered in the Cotto fight. I have had a broken ear drum before and it took me no less than 5 months to get over it. Give the guy some time to rest so he can be at his best.

When Pacquiao loses (if he takes the fight), it will be because he had a "bad ear drum".

This just shows that Mayweather aint hard to negotiate with. He's already agreed terms, problem is Pac has got freddie roach tryna advise him on what to do.

The most important thing is that Pacquiao's ear is healed. That's essential and if it means the fight goes back, it has to go back. It'd be like moaning when Mayweather pulled out if the first arranged Marquez fight. You can't box injured, simple as that.

As for 60/40, that won't happen. Both teams want it but that means nothing, as neither will be that stubborn as to not fight at all.
