Just curious why you think the ability to answer questions in English should be a gauge for being voted to office in a country other than the UK or US.

 

What about Canada? Australia? Plenty of countries other than the UK or US speak English.

With that said, why Pac would need to speak English when's he running for office in a country that clearly DOESN'T, beats me.

Filipino (Tagalog) and English are both official languages in the Philippines. Medium of instruction in school is English. Textbooks are in English. Top 5 newspapers are in English. Should I go on or is that enough education for today?

 

Then why would someone, no not just 'someone', but a national icon like Manny Pacquiao, have difficulty with a language that is supposed to be an official language in the Philippines?

 

Maybe his grade school education may have had something to do with it. He is improving though. He's taken english classes to help improve. IMO he speaks decent english. He just has a thick accent. If you watch his most recent interviews, not the ones right after a fight when he's trying to recover brain cells, Manny does a decent job answering questions in english.

March may be early for Pac, he just had a war with Cotto for ffs his ear is like a popcorn but who knows he may agree. May will definitely not work it's election time. Sept is just fine with me, though the wait will be longer but both should be in good shape, have proper preparations so there should be no excuses from either.
