Calzaghe's joke legacy takes another massive hit

I'm a big Calzaghe fan, but this past month really hasn't been good for his legacy with Kessler and Jones Jr being defeated so easily. Let's hope that Hopkins does something dramatic in 2010.

 

Love the calzaghe fan excuses- jones got old overnight-

Jones jnr, the one chinned by glancing punches from tarver, Johnson and green nearly stopped joe in the first and easily lasted the distance with him.

Kessler who went 50-50 with joe for 9 rounds- couldn't land a glove on novice Andre ward.

Robin Reid who beat calzaghe on most cards- never beat a truly world class fighter!

Lacy- pants

Hopkins was barely outscored and was the better fighter despite errors in his strategy that could easily have been remedied in a rematch- a one sided victory for bhop.

Funnily calzaghes legacy seems to now rest on sakio bika- the only fighter on his register with any post jc form! Joe ruined everyone-

Calzaghe needs to comeback and face Dawson, Ward, Abraham and Hopkins.

 

I wouldnt say he was a total fraud, he is a decent boxer.

its true, jc legacy over the past 2 weeks has been severly damaged, had he of fought chad dawson instaed of jones and then retiring it would be different but he knows bad chad had the beatings of him, jones was shot to bits but danny green confirmed this for us and kessler was exposed

 

Lets just clear a few things up.

A few people scored it for Reid but the overwhelming majority felt Joe won a close fight. Challenge everyone on here to go score it on youtube and then come back and post on here. Close fight but Joe won! End Of.

And as for Jones nearly taking Calzaghe out in the first!
It was a forearm smash that would have put any boxer in the world down!
And what was the count when he got up? He was hardly stopped was he?

Next you'll be starting a thread saying Calzaghe had a dodgy chin!

Most intelligent fans gave Calzaghe little or no credit for the win over Jones. We all knew it was a payday he felt he deserved.

What I find funny is that if he had faught Taylor and stopped him as we know he would have (no may taylor could do twelve at that pace). We would be having this same conversation just with Jones switched for taylor.

Now imagine if he hadn't faught Jones.

There would still be some Bellend on here saying that Joe ducked Jones even though he was past it!

Kessler was beaten by Jesus Christ that night. After the fight Andre Ward was asked how he beat the Viking Warrior. He said that it was Jesus Christ that gave him the strength to do it. How the hell is a mortal man supposed to beat Jesus Christ?
