Manny Pacquiao may fight Yuri Foreman before taking on Floyd Mayweather Jr, trainer Freddie Roach has revealed.

A super-fight appears to be on the cards next year between Filipino Pacquiao, the world's best pound-for-pound boxer, and Mayweather, the undefeated American who recently returned to the ring from a spell in retirement.

Negotiations to make the fight are under way, but Roach has accused Mayweather's camp of dragging their heels and is weighing up the option of first pitting Pacquiao against Foreman, the Israeli who currently holds the WBA light-middleweight belt.

"We want to fight in March and we don't really want to wait," Roach said.

"Mayweather doesn't want to fight in March, so we might fight for the 154lbs title in March and move up for that eighth world title.

"I'm thinking about that still and it's something that I'm kicking around in my head right now.

Great point.
Years of having to defend Floyd from his infamous cherrypicking and ducking opponets have them attacking these boards like mad at the very idea that Pacman hasnt agreed to the fight yet. "Whose ducking now!!" I heard that so much, like its such a shock that Floyd actually agreed to this fight first, it seems to shock even the floydetts, hence the "Ah HA! May already agreed and Pac hasnt yet that means Pac's the one who is ducking!!" attitude they have acquired lately.

Roach was and is talking out of his ass. He should have never said March. The elections aside; it has to be pretty rare for a fighter, at least in the last 7 or 8 years or so, to take two fights the magnitude of Cotto and Mayweather LESS than 4 months apart.

Roach is talking **** cus he thinks that wud stop the Floyd camp from draggin thier heels, he's trying to make them think Pac has other alternatives. He knows Floyd doesnt want to miss out on the money haha, Roach is a genius.
