Whether you buy into the bull**** or not Mayweather has gotten a reputation as a “Ducker” whether this is an unfair label or not doesn’t seem to matter much to Blind Mayweather haters. Willing to say anything against pound 4 pound the most skilled and talented fighter on the planet. Mayweather repeatedly says he is not “ducking or dodging nobody out their” and I believe him , not because I am a blind nut hugger, but because the facts say other wise. It seems to me that Mayweather didn’t get the reputation as a “Ducker” until two things happened: 1. He opted not to fight Margarito for 8 million dollars 2.He opted out of his contract with mega promoter Bob Arum for $750,000 ,because up until then Mayweather had called out every one, Prince Nassem, Joel Casamoyar, Acelino Frietas, Paul Spadafora, Jose Louis Castillo, Kostya Tszyu, Stevie Johnson, Juan Lazcano, Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, Arturo Gatti, Miguel Cotto, and Ricky Hatton: The common denominator in all this, Mayweather, was still under contract with Bob arum.

5 million dollars for the Zab Judah fight, so it would seem on the surface if its all about money then Mayweather should jump all over this right.. Well lets look a bit closer at what really transpired. Mayweather was offered 8 million dollars to fight Margarito, with 7 million dollar guarantees to fight Cotto, or Hatton in the future; the fight was to be held on August 12, keeping in mind that Mayweather was nursing a bruised right hand at the time. However to show the point that this thread will overall attempt to make, Floyd ultimately agreed to fight Margarito on the date of August 12, with one exception instead of the 7 million dollar clauses on future bouts with Cotto, or Hatton. Mayweather asked for 10 million dollars per bout, ( Now think about this why would Mayweather fight a relative nobody for 8 million, and only get 7 million for fighting Top Ranks cash cow at the time Cotto, and then only 7 million to fight Ricky Hatton) One more lil tidbit to consider, Bob arum if left to him Mayweather and Hoya would of never taken place, Bob Arum made it loud ,and clear that he wouldn’t deal with Hoya effectively screwing mayweather out of 20 million dollars. So in light of this mayweather opts out of his slave contract with Bob arum in on of the most shrewd business moves in Sports history, for a Measly 750,000 dollars.

So where did all this Floyd is a Ducker originate, well with one person, Bob arum; he pushed that ****ing lie and the media, the casual fans, the racists, and the ****ing bloggers, even members of this site, ran with it, all because Floyd got away from him and made millions, appeared on WWE, dancing with the stars, became the face of boxing almost over night, all because Mayweather had the foresight to leave Bob Arum for 750,000 dollars. Its obvious Bob arum hasn’t been able to live it down , he now spends his time trying to verbally destroy mayweather whenever possible, which is smart, considering Floyd is no longer his fighter and he doesn’t really owe Floyd anything. Yeah so whose ducking who, you have millions and millions on the table and an opportunity for ATG status and who signs on the dotted line first Mayweather, because in the End if it don’t make dollars it don’t make sense, You cant eat Legacy, Mayweather Duran Hagler or any other great fighter can’t come to fans when they hang up the gloves and say remember me, remember the wars I went through, remember what all I did, can you pay my bills or do this or help me out with some pocket change.
