I don't think I've ever been so sad at getting something so right. I even had a little something on Green at $5.00 to win by KO but I would rather have lost my cash than see RJJ go out like that.

My wife and I were at the fight and as he went into the ring she turned and said how it felt so surreal to see him in the flesh.....I can tell you it was more surreal to see him crumble in the corner and it brought a tear to both our eyes.

Congratulations Danny and all of his Aussie followers!!! It was an excellent fight for Green, a nightmare for Jones and I wasn't too happy about the outcome either, but that's what makes LIVE boxing matches so great...anything can happen...just ask Holyfield's ears! It's sad to see Jones go out that early in the fight, but It was a legit call. Jones had his hands up, but not throwing...he knows the rules and knew the ref was going to stop it! I have no excuses for RJJ...however, I do have advice for him...You had a good run and a good career...one of the most talented fighters in boxing history, but it's time to hang up the gloves:-( As for Green...I'd like to see him fight Hopkins...I hate Hopkins and would be routing for "The Machine"...so this is my final post on this forum...however I will be stopping by to see if anyone comments on this. I had fun being the bad guy on this forum, but if Green vs Hopkins happens maybe I'll come back as the good guy...

 

At least you guys got to see him... for 2 minutes anyway

Met Jones after the fight at the casino. What a class act, a real gentleman, hanging around until every person got their autograph or photograph, very approachable. I was sitting next to an anxious little kid no more than 10 and up way past his bedtime who was dying to see his hero. You should have seen his eyes light up when the legendary fighter appeared. The champ had time for everyone around him. Upstairs, I saw Green return with his hordes, it was like a victorious war party returning from battle, he had the place pumped. Both men are admirable characters outside the ring.

 

Good stuff mate. I just wonder if that little kid was actually Luds?

 

Poor kid wasnt allowed to see Green in the main casino area upstairs but meeting Roy Jones Jr in the hotel foyer more than made up for it. Im old and out of you fella's league, who's Luds?
