So I had to work an overnight last night and had to DVR the Bhop fight. I have to say even though ornelas was game Bhop did his usual magic and won a clear decision. I was surprised by his ability to carry his stamina at nearing 45 yrs old. So at the end, now that the RJJ fight seems futile, Bhop said he wants Haye. How do you guys see this fight going down and present your analysis.
Haye has only one advantage over B-Hop, but it's a big one...power. Hopkins has better stamina. Hopkins is better skilled. I think he's quicker too. Haye is fast for a big guy, but he's not faster than guys Hopkins faces. If Hopkins could take Haye's power, he wins. That's a huge "IF". A HUGE "if"!
Haye won't take the fight, IMO. Too much to lose. I would favor Haye but would root for B-Hop and B-Hop could definitely win, including by T/KO. If Lolenga Mock can hurt Haye, then Hopkins could stop him. Could.
Why is this fight even being mentioned? Hopkins will be 50 by the time Haye is free and clear to fight him. They would have to pay big step aside money to make this fight. Unless, Haye lets go of his belt. Let Hopkins test the HW waters by fighting say Toney.
