Yep. Kessler was actually ranked by both the WBA and WBC back in 2004, and Team Fenech won the purse bid to bring him out to Perth to fight Green. At the same time, another Palle fighter (Mads Larsen) was scheduled to fight Siaca for the WBA SMW title Mundine lost to him, but was going through contractual and legal issues with Palle. Palle cried foul and threatened legal action over Team Fenech winning the purse bid by only $50-60K, claiming TF had been informed of what Palle's bid was and therefore came in just over to win the right to host the fight. Palle then hung Larsen out to dry and did a switcheroo and put Kessler in against Siaca, who he beat to win the WBA SMW title. Larsen faded into obscurity.
