Soliman v Geale for the vacant 160 belt. Funny, all the IBO belts that are vacant are picked up by aussies. LOL. Well it is xmas, someone has to play santa claus hey Phil? lol

So lets do a count - Asiku, Ndou, Mundine/Medley, Geale/Soliman, Green - all world champions!!!

We got more world champs than any other nation. Who said boxing is a niche sport here?

Thanks to the IBO, we are a boxing power house. Stick that in your pipe an smoke it Bhop.

IBO should strip Wlad Klitschko & force a vacant title match between Alex Leapai & Mark De Mori...then we will have a heavyweight champ too.:D

it's not necessarily Soliman, one big o/s name has been mentioned. PJ it's not like Mundine is the first ever titlist to fight for a title in another division without fighting at the weight first now is it? Personally I feeel no need to justify this or anything else to you or anyone else but I am getting opportunities for Australian fighters - ****ing shoot me!

Commendable on the Aussie front Phil - and the forum should be thankful for that.

But you are wise enough to see why critisism might be levelled at Mundine for reneging on his mandatory with Geale.

Hi couldhavebeen, thanks! I have no problem whatsoever if people want to criticise Choc for not re-matching Gealey - believe me I have my own feelings on the subject! Please just have a quick squizz over what I wrote and show me where I was defending any criticism of him. I was not

No, you are right. Green won his IBO belt at his first fight at cruiser. Ruiz the other week, it was his second fight at featherweight. It's very common with you guys, other orgs - not so much. Although I think the WBC allow a belt holder to change divisions and contest a title - only if he is the champ in the division he left.

I'm applauding you for what you are doing. Soon we'l have a champ in every division. At this rate, it's be about June next year.
