Pacquiao agrees to 2010 showdown with Floyd on March 13, 2010

MANILA – Seven-division boxing champ Manny Pacquiao has agreed to fight former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. on March 13 next year, a television report said.

"OK naman yung March 13...The difference between Floyd and the others I've faced is that he does a lot of trash talk that shouldn't be emulated by kids," he told GMA television. Earlier reports said Pacquiao could earn as much as $30 million in the fight.

Top Rank chief Bob Arum earlier said he was happy with his meeting with Pacquiao. He is set to return to the US to finalize all the arrangements with Mayweather’s camp and seal the deal before formally announcing the mega-fight.

“You see a smile on my face so I'm not disappointed [with the Pacquiao meeting],” Arum said during the announcement of a tie up between Top Rank and ABS-CBN Broadcasting network Friday afternoon.

“Now my job is to go back to the United States, sit with Richard Schaefer (CEO of Golden Boy Promotions) and the Mayweather people…“My goal is that we can make a preliminary announcement sometime next week,” said Arum.

reporter: mark you calendar. the biggest fight of the millenium will happen on march 13, 2009.

pac: march 13 is ok. bob is still finalizing the details.

rep: its not only the pound for pound title that is at stake here, theres also something personal that pacquiao wants to prove.

pac: the difference with floyd and the other fighters is he likes trash talks which children shouldnt emulate.

Like this fight wouldn't happen - there's no one else out there that will make them as much money as they can get for fighting each other.

now how could fraud lieweather duck out of March 13? Let's see, he can reneg on the terms, he can claim rib injury, he can price himself out, oscar couuld return,

this fight is not set yet. fraud is fraud, it's just hard to imagine him manning up after all these years of ducking and dodging. hope he proves me wrong though, this fight is the shitdizzle.
