ROACH: De La Hoya can't pull the trigger anymore.

ROACH: We'll KO Hatton in 3.

ROACH: Pac too fast for Cotto.

ROACH: Pac is the puncher against Cotto.

    ROACH: Cotto will run.

    ROACH: Joe Santiago sucks.

Roach: Mayweather is easier than Cotto, we don't need a catchweight

Roach: The fight will have to be at a catchweight

Roach: Mayweather is the ultimate opponent, we need extra time to prepare

Roach: We want to fight in March, Mayweather doesn't

Roach: March is too soon to fight Mayweather

Roach: We're going to fight Yuri Foreman

Roach: Mayweather wants 60%, 10 oz. gloves, a 25 foot ring, and the fight to take place at 154.

The guy has been all over the place with this fight. He's clearly talking out of his ass.

    Two scenarios:

1 - Roach is bullshitting - probably the most likely.
2 - Floyd is using it as a bargaining tool, so they can 'compromise' on 154, where Floyd would really want the fight. Instead of saying 147 straight away and Roach & Pacquiao trying to drag him down to some bull**** catchweight.

You can just throw number 2 out the window. It wouldn't even make sense for Floyd to try that. Reports are that 147 is the agreed upon weight. Roach is the only person who's even mentioned a catchweight.

Where the hell has 154 come from. Floyd only weighed 150 when he fought there with oscar. The 154 is irrelevant but the 8 ounce gloves and ring size are important factors.:bbb

The way I look at this, it more of a negotiation tatics on both parties. I believe it will be @147. Just wondering about the split? Was it 50/50, 60/40, .... ?????

Pac should agree to 154 and then demand 8oz gloves. Lets make no mistake here. They are both natural lightweights and Pac has clearly carried his power better than Floyd. At 154 Pac would be even more powerful than Floyd then they would be comparatively at 147.

Maybe he didn't want to fight in March? Mayweether had admitted before the Marquez fight that he wanted to fight in England after it.

He always said Pacquiao could fight him there but wanted a catchweight. Same thing he said to Mosley. No ultimatums, just a preference that they would try to settle on. Same as with the Cotto fight.

He mentioned Foreman as a possibilty if Mayweatger was fighting in England for his next bout. Completely reasonable second choice opponent.

He isn't in the dark over negotiations. He was the man who chose Barrera, Diaz, Hatton and, famously, De La Hoya. He was the man who suggested them all, even Arum wasn't happy with De La Hoya. This proves that people listen to him, so why would that change now? He has Pacquiao's ear more than anyone.

He knows Pacquiao can't bulk up to 154lbs easily, so why not? He could, Pacquiao couldn't. Even if he weighed 152lbs, he'd still have an advantage.

As for the 10 ounce gloves, Pacquiao is the best puncher he's ever faced, including Corrales. I'm pretty sure he'd put up with the terrible consequences of two ounces, considering the advantages they give him.

No ****. Pac's power is growing like a leaf as he goes up in weight. If anyone should be demanding a catchweight its Floyd No Power Mayweather.

I say that Pac gives Floyd 154 and demands a small ring and light gloves. Thats something for nothing in my book.
