In my humble opinion, it's 'Iron' Mike.
The man had everything, in abundance.
Skill, malevolence, presence, style, notoriety, street cred; man, in his prime, he really was the REAL DEAL!

Do you know what charisma is? Its the ability to talk to people and win over friends. You sure Tyson was that sorta guy?

Ali. I don't think Tyson was extroverted enough to be charismatic as Ali.

    Sugar Ray Leonard.
I was only a kid during his heyday, but he was pretty much a poster boy for the sport. After his retirement, he found analyst/commentator positions quickly & did well at them.

I would say Muhammad Ali, but he didn't have Sugar Ray Leonard's relative luxury of coming after the beginning of the Civil Rights era. What I mean by that is that a more divided country made it more difficult for Ali to win over a similar percentage of the public with his personality.

Oscar de la Hoya should be in the discussion as well I think.

I don't really think Charismatic is how I would describe Tyson. He was fascinating, compelling, exciting and pretty ****in scary, but not really charismatic.

Ali was a great fighter but an ******* as a human being.
Racist, sexist and disrespectful to his fellow fighters, am I really alone in thinking the history books should be rewritten to tell the true story of what a complete twat this bloke really was?!

Ali is not just the most charismatic boxer of all time, but the most charismatic sportsman. I'm surprised that there's even any debate about this.

I actually agree. How he treated Frazier is inexcusable.

    Oh dear.

I fear you're in line for some unimaginable abuse from fellow ESB dunces.

Welcome to the club, my friend!
