Ali by a landslide. I think some people need to look up the definition of charismatic.

De La Hoya was a very good boxer but it was his chrisma that made him a star

On 2nd thought, I gotta retract my Sugar Ray Leonard call, then. You're right. I totally overlooked Ali's longterm & global impact. Regardless of what people may think of his [shifting] political, religious, & moral ideology, Ali is an ICON. & a lot of it had to do with his charisma. I remember hearing Cus D'Amato say that to Tyson in the Tyson documentary [something along the lines of "he was so great because of his personality"].

To this day, the minute he enters the room at an event, he'll get a standing ovation.

    cha·ris·ma (k-rzm)
    n. pl. cha·ris·ma·ta (-m-t)
    1.
    a. A rare personal quality attributed to leaders who arouse fervent popular devotion and enthusiasm.
    b. Personal magnetism or charm:

    Tyson exuded charisma.

    He was what he was.
A working class man who fought for respect - sometimes taking the wrong path, but always had that 'je n'est ce quoi' about him.
ali could be amusing, and was always watchable, but was in my mind, a little too disrespectful of his opponents for my tastes.

    Tyson, the king of boxing.

    God bless.

Definetely between DLH and ALI. I chose DLH because he was watched and became the PPV king not just for his skills, but because of his charisma. ALI was great, but he could be out of line in public many times.

So, you really found Tyson to be charming? He was very personable when not enraged in the media & definitely a compelling, intriguing person, but I wouldn't call him charming. Maybe he was to Robin Givens at one point...

Charisma is the last thing that comes to mind when thinking of Tyson

I'd have to say Muhammad Ali.
