I don't know a lot about Saldivar so I won't make a prediction, but from what I've read and the small amounts of footage of seen, there's similarities with him and Barrera. Saldivar apparently is a very good technician, who likes to throw nice combination's from mid-close range. If he has similar handspeed to Marco than it can really work for him against Morales, who wasn't really all that great as a Featherweight. No pick, just a few observations.

yea Saldivar was a technician, people seem to have forgotten about him, i rarely see people talking about him, one of Mexico's Greats.
I'm still not making a prediction, but that footage of Saldivar was very nice. I love the way he threw those combination's. I'll definitely be doing a bit more research on this guy, that's for sure.
Morales has a big reach advantage here, but I don't feel he'd stick to his boxing. I think Saldivar would drag him into a war and wear him down with that vicious body-punching, pile on the left hand and come away with a decision win. Just.
Giving up height and reach would be just another day in the office for Vicente. He has the superior skills and ringcraft here. Morales makes it a hell of a fight...Like he does with any featherweight in history...but I think he gets outpointed in this fight. Saldivar is top tier H2H at featherweight...A very good fighter.
