PBF's 154 lbs and 10 oz gloves = EMBARASSING

I think it's pretty obvious that if Floyd really did ask that the fight take place @ 154, his reasoning is only to use the bigger gloves. He has no intention of coming in over 147.

This 10oz glove and 154 lbs weight limit so far is all coming from Freddie Roach........and anyone that has followed his shenanigans over the last couple of years know to take everything he say's with a grain of salt.



......and someone mentioned it in the first page of this thread........if such demands were thrown about, its called negotiating......

....certainly I dont expect the fight to happen at over 147 lbs.....there is no reason for it too, Mayweather has always made that weight comfortably.

.....but areason for Mayweather to even throw about that he wants the fight at 154 lbs, is because he'd figure that he can compromise that, and get his way with the gloves.
.........certainly bigger gloves benefit Mayweather, and the smaller puncher's gloves benefit Pacquiao.


In other words, I can see Mayweather saying, "lets compromise, I'll let you have your way with the weight at 147 lbs, but you give me my way with the 10oz gloves.......

......which obviously is not compromise at all, as Mayweather doe'snt want the fight at 154 lbs to begin with.

I'm for the fighters using the size gloves that are standard for that weight!

The source is almost pretty clearly bull**** AND even if Floyd was asking for the fight at 154 how is that different from Manny wanting the fight at a catch weight??? Manny says he wants it at 145, Floyd says he wants it at 154 then boom they meet in the middle 147.:verysad

Obviously you had your fingers in your ears and your blinders on during the last few Pacquiao fight negotiations. Pac had lots of issues with what Arum was negotiating.

 

If that's the case then make the demand for just the gloves. Pac can take it or no. I can't see a valid reason for demanding the fight in the JMW range except to sabotage the deal.

It's incredible how people believe everything Roach says. ESPN has already confirmed the fight to be at 147.
