Barrera is a legend. Can you tell me what program is best for uploading a fight and how can I do it step by step. PM me when you have the time.
I agree with Tin Ribs.......Addie Naz had that rightfully earned reputation as a sneaky bomber. Besides Barrera was having fun beating up on Naz why screw up a good thing. Most likely he could have turned up the heat and stopped Naz if he wanted too,but if he got caught he would have ended up looking not to smart.
Marco stepped up the heat in rounds 11 and 12. He could have done it earlier, I felt. I'm just being picky, Barrera boxed a masterpiece that evening. Currently uploading Barrera's destruction of the respected Toledo now, Anarci. An impressive display from pre-prime Marco.
Exactly, Barrera boxing against Hamed is a very significant thing because never has Barrera respected a fighters punching power as he did Hamed's and this is a man who fought big time punchers like Pacquiao and Morales and he still knew not to trade with Hamed. That to me is very significant. I hate how underrated Hamed has gotten over the years by getting beat by an ATG.
Post-fight - Barrera: "He doesn't hit as hard ad everyone says he does". He picked it up in round 11 and 12 and went for the stoppage. Hamed got worked over, big time down the stretch.
I haven't seened the fight in awhile so I can't recall if Hamed had hit him with anything big but trading with Hamed is no joke.
I just think the first fight was a greater achievement and a greater performance. You may disagree, but I felt like Barrera was a bigger underdog for the 1st fight than he was for the 3rd. Back in 2000, Barrera was the man who had been beaten twice by Junior Jones while Morales was an undefeated monster shooting up the p4p rankings, I think the vast majority viewed it as a pretty routine win for Erik beforehand. They were both prime in that fight, and Barrera fought like an absolute demon and thoroughly deserved the decision. At least by the 3rd fight, Barrera had already proved he could hang with Morales. I think that before the 1st fight most people did not think this was possible.
You're not wrong. Erik Morales was a 4-1 on favorite in 2000 I believe, but there were plenty of hardcore fans who knew what Barrera was about who gave him an outside chance. It was a sterling performance against a prime Morales, but the third fight is where it all came together. Not only did he win the fight without any complaints, he did it as the underdog again, against his arch rival, when everyone thought he was done. He boxed some, he slugged it out a bit too, and this time he won both ends of the equations outright. Just a personal choice, really.
:nono On fight night it was 2to 1 , I should know i put money at the Mandalay Bay. I got robbed along with Barrera on that night. Believe this as if it were gospel! I put down 100$ to win 200. I dont know what odds you looked at or when you looked at them, but trust me I would have put more than 100 if the odds were that wide.
I think late money came in on Barrera shortening the odds, but the commentary team mentioned Morales being something like a 4-1 favorite leading up to the fight. It was probably closer to 3-1, in any event, Marco was not the favorite.
