Tua v Rahman at this stage. Yes, it would be very, very tough for Tua.

At this point, I think Rahman is way more shot than Tua. However, Tua plans on having three fights in quick sucession: Seldon (LOL), Ahunaya, and a TBA: no reason why Rahman couldn't be the third.

At this point in time, I see Tua stopping Rahman. But I think a case can be made that Rahman was robbed in Rahman-Tua II. Right now, I don't think he can come close to duplicating that performance though.

I will be surprised if can have that many fights in quick succession, and there is almost no chance of him staying at a light weight for a sustained period of time, but in principle, I agree.

Saying using the previous fights are misleading/mug's game is inconsiderate? Clearly you started the thread to get dissension, so I'm not sure what you were expecting.

You think it's easier to stay at a good weight with bigger gaps between fights? You're either taking the proverbial **** or a little drunk.

The word you used has negative connotations. If you use it around others they will not be pleased with you.
You have misinterpreted this. The sustained period ignores time out. This is the obvious implication with Tua, who we know will blow up.

Again, your post is rude in nature.

I would encourage you to work on your manners for future ESB posts.

A general rule of thumb is to avoid insults, either direct or implied.

    Thank you.

Rahmen's punch resistance is long nil. Hate to say it, because I respect Rahmen, but Tua wins this one easily.

Well, nil means nothing. It has been nil for a long time. I have been drinking a lot and apologize if not entirely comprehensible. But I maintain that I have said right, even if incoherently. The guy got rocked by Toney- Tua will kill him.

I repeat: I like Rahmen. I would very much like him to retire for his own safetely.

Rahman hasn't put in a decent performance since 2006 (and those weren't even that great) and that includes fights with guys like Taurus Sykes. Rahman looked like a zombie in their with klitchko. He hasn't been in any type of shape to be productive over the course of a fight and it has hurt the power he did have. Tua at least showed vast improvement in conditioning and form with cameron and his power is still there. Tua would stop Rahman now regardless of whatever style you say rahman has. In rahman's recent bouts except klitchko his style was basically lean on the opponent and throw sloppy punches. Tua could well hurt him. BTW their 2003 fight was an absolute joke and everybody lost include anyone who watched it. Both guys decided to come in at about 275 pounds and not much happened.

Who needs a "Tua-Rahman 3" fight?? Not me.......... But I read Tua is slated to meet Bruce Seldon in early '10................ Seldon is a shell / walk over opponent at this juncture....... WTF is goin' on here???

:good Agreed. A Seldon or Rahman fight wouldn't be taht bad for Tua if he didn't have a history of fighting a bum or two then taking a year or three off. Tua's 36 and he should be aiming a little higher than seldon (definitely) and proably rahman. Having said that though, look at Kingpin Johnson he got a title fight with seldon and devin vargas being his best wins so who knows.

It's a little hard to gauge Rahman because you never know how he's going to show up. And how do you know about his fight with Wlad? Wlad was probably at his peak and Rahman I think was there on short notice filling in for Povetkin? Maybe he's in better shape than we think. I favor Tua though. Not a better boxer but a granite chin and a crushing punch. As said, fresher too. It seems.

    Oh.

I would say that the Rahman who fought Tua would have also been rocked by Toney.

It was never Rahman's chin that allowed him to go 12 with David Tua.
