Anyone know about the Bunce - McGuigan beef?

No idea what the beef is, but Bob, just want you to know you're one of my ****ing heroes mate.

My 3rd favourite Bob of all time, after Carolgees & Holness.

 

What about Geldoff? I'm going Bob slaying next week, got my sights set on Holness.

I thought there was abit of tension between them when Setanta did Calzaghe/Jones...I don't think Buncey is a fan of ITV's coverage aswell.

Bunce said at the show I went to that Barry doesn't like the fact that after boxing to a television audience of 22m, he was getting the exact same amount of pay as Bunce for being an analysis on boxing.

McGuigan is a bitter joker then. McGuigan also seems bitter when other fighters get good coverage as well; maybe he's not the happy-go-lucky guy he's made out to be after all?:think

 

McGuigan is one of my favourite pundits and I think the ITV coverage will be badly missed. He has done so much fantastic campaigning for the welfare of ex-boxers and his recent extension to that work in the Barry McGuigan Academy is very impressive. http://www.bluedotsportsmanagement.co.uk/

As much as I enjoyed Buncey's show I have to admit that the digs at McGuigan were a little dissappointing.

 

He certainly doesn't seem to be according to Buncey. Remember him saying when he was doing his Belfast show he thought he was going to get lynched when he said he didn't like McGuigan much, however the crowd didn't seem to like him either. :think

Bunce just doesn't like McGuigan for whatever reason. it doesn't matter why - Steve does good work, Barry does good work.

 

All wrong...McGuigan wrote on his SKY column that Claude and I were not fit to talk about world title fights a few years ago...he then said on Setanta that I had no idea what I was talking about.
They are digs!
