jack of all trades textbook boxer-puncher.Emphasis on steadyness, great stamina and textbook technique over physical gifts.empahsis on volume punching of quality textbook shots between body and head at mid-range(even if not always with a lot on them), rather than pure outboxing, cute counterpunching or waiting on chances to load up for big shots etc.. I can see the comparison to Chavez when Julio is in rarer backfoot/mid-range circling mode, as both are very well schooled unflashy fighters.Less so saldivar...in general Yuh does not have nearly the firepower of those fighters though which showed against the likes of Olivo and Gamez though he was certainly capable of producing nasty accumulation stoppages over various B and C level challengers. yuh generally has a style i would say could be seen as equal parts very bland and/or very pure and enjoyable from a textbook boxing viewpoint.
Was speaking to Addie about it, he told me to bump this thread. He was saying he was misunderstood and underrated. I basically agreed with you Mante
addie might give you a fresher perspective than me, it's been a while since i really went through the fights i have. It's a shame a fight with carbajal didn't come off.that would have raised his profile quite a bit.
Greg i've always likened him to Chavez, plenty of times he comes up i've said it. Either great minds think alike or you tried to steal my thunder.
