Where do i start guys what a ****ING week:hammertimeartytime:spliff Rocked up to star city on tuesday ended up staying a few extra days after Danny won i just got back to Melbourne a couple of hours ago reckon i have had 6-7 sleep since Tuesday and my voice is ****ed big time 122 secs is all it took i went off my head i just went into a frenzy when i saw RJJ just crumble i couldn't believe it. Before the fight i almost vomited i was so sick with nerves i mean i always get real edgy and nervous before every fight Danny has but having 17k riding on the result made it even worse. When i got to the fight i was simply shitting myself..my mates even said 2 me they haven't been able to shut me up for the last 3 months talking about this fight and now were at the fight and I'm not saying a word. All i could do was keep thinking trying to work out how the fight would pan out weather Danny could some how establish his jab early or would RJJ be to quick. I just keep telling myself that Roys defence isn't the best he doesnt have that mayweather shoulder roll move that choc used so well against Danny and also Roys tendency to stand a little bit flat footed with his hands down and he likes to trade a bit too which will suit Green down to the ground. So i was confidant that Danny would catch him at some stage and i've always said Danny would crush Tarver and Danny has a lot more power then him so i was pretty confidant if Danny hit him clean it would be lights out:deal Once Wills won i was just hanging for the main event but then they started up more auctionsatschI was like FFS lets get it started already. When Danny finally came out the joint just ****ing exploded !! talk about raw emotion my adrenalin went threw the roof!! I've got type 1 diabetes so i knew my sugar level would drop like a mother ****er so i thought **** better calm down, i quickly ripped open some sugar satchels and gulp them down and I'm thinking ok i better chill out a bit i don't want to have another attack before the fight ends. Bell rings i yell out "yer Danny put him in a body bag":yep Yer i know I'm a real comedian..don't worry my friends think Im a dick too:hey Anyway back to the fight i see Roy throw 2 lightning jabs to Dannys chin which make me cringe then i see Danny make RJJ back up when he hits him with a real nice jab and I'm like **** yer thats it mate and then it happens i see Roys head sort of twist then he just ****ing crumbled. To be honest i just lost it,i just went off my head i leapt straight up on top of my chair because i was about 14 rows back in ringside and i couldn't tell weather Roy was out cold or if he was taking a knee cause everyone jumped up. The next 5 mins were a blur i just screamed my guts out just willing on every one of the 43 unanswered punches Danny threw after the knock down. Then the ref waved it away and it was pure pandomonia never felt anything like it in my life:woot Just couldn't believe he'd done it...now i know he beat an old RJJ but just remember hardly anyone gave him a chance except the nuthuggers like me,shiner, boxing cotton,marcus,buster007 even Flamengo border line nut hugger but mainly just knows his boxing that guy and a special mention to Pecks and my man Stifflers Mum even though there not Green nuthuggers they still gave Danny a good chance so guys Im making you honoury Green machine nut huggers for the day:hey Like i said he didn't beat a prime Roy but mate its still a massive achivement most people didn't give him a chance and to see a friend of mine beating Roy was just sureal. This is a guy who less then 10 years ago was an unempoloyed chippy who worked 3-4 days a week at sports co store earning $400 a week and here he is knocking out RJJ and earning 4 mil. And the best thing is the guy hasn't changed one bit, Treats everyone with respect weather your a star or just a nobody like me just a true gentleman i mean when i was chatting with him in the foyer of star city there must have been 30-40 people come up to him for autographs or photos within 15 mins and he was just more than happy to oblige and this was about 3pm on the day of the fight i couldn't believe how relaxed he was. After the fight we went to the after party and it was fukin on like donkey kong but thats another story:good To bad choc couldn't get in.what was he thinkingatsch
Nar had a multi bet i spent $400 and after Faint Perfume won the oaks and Tiger won the golf i had just over 5k on Danny at $3.40 to win over 17k. Just to top it off i put $10 on a round 1 ko at 67-1. When your hot your hot i mean i even won $1500 playing bloody pokies! I mean i cant ever remember winning more then $400 on those evil machines yet everything i touched turned to gold i reckon i had 3 different collects of over $500 on 3 different machines:yep Those things should still be banned i gamble for a living and putting money in pokies isn't gambling its suicide:deal
with any form of gambling your bound to lose your money. You might win in the short term, but in the long term you're bound to lose any gains you made.
Lol I was looking forward to this thread. I knew it would come sooner or later (albeit somewhat earlier...). But you know, I have nothing against the win and give ol' Greeny full credit for it. Very game of u to put 5K on a Green win, but good to hear it paid off. Everyone knew u were a Green fan but with this you really did come out of the closet
Imagine if you did. **** you'd be a rich man. Sounds like someone had a ****ing wild week. The whole has been an outrage where I live. everyone calling up wanting to talk about it haha
well done LJD:good sounds like you had a mad time.and i havent rated Lacy since JC and his fighting injured for 8 rounds against Tsypko so Roy was no cert based on that but he was odds on favourite and Danny sparked him in 2 minutes.hope he gets some OS opportunities and paydays.if he fights Nard i wont know who to go for:think nah i will go for Danny.
Just to let you know there is a lot of people around the world that make a living Gambling:good When gambling is your only income people think you live the easy life...WRONG. As my mate said its a hard way to earn a easy living, people don't understand how much work goes into it sometimes I'm watching 4-5 hours of horse replays everyday. Takes a lot of dicipline too sometimes i may only make 2-3 bets per week. My second main form of punting is online poker i play under the username Dannygreen1:good i mainly play at pokerstars but also full tilt and party poker i've won almost 100k in tournaments but i spent exactly 29k so that puts me up 70k over the 3 years iv'e played. It's not like I'm some hi roller i just play for an income, even when im playing cash tables my aim is to play tight solid poker and see if i can win $150-$200 per day. To be honest i don't even like poker that much but i play because it beats the hell out of slaving your guts out on a worksite with some ***** screaming at ya all day. Here is my tournament summary for pokerstars you can click in the left hand corner to see my record at other sites. http://www.bluffmagazine.com/thepokerdb/dannygreen1/PokerStars/1829838/player-profile.asp
Thanks for all the well wishes guys it was a dream come true sort of week:happy It was just wicked to see him win a massive fight against a legend. People shouldn't begrudge his win his really gone threw a lot of **** to get to where he is. I travelled to Numberg for his 1st title shot i swear there was about 40-50 of us max. I had to basically hock my ass to get the cash to go to that fight and after the 2nd round i was thinking **** yer this is mad! Lets just say after rd 5 it was like a funeral devastated, destroyed and gutted:dead Then of course there was the ultimate humiliation of being schooled by chocatsch Sitting in that crowd with choc supporters giving Danny **** was ****ing bad enough but then you had guys with green machine shirts bagging the **** out of Danny:fire So to finally see Dan win a massive fight was ****ing great and to be honest **** the 17k i won, i was more emotional about the fact that he finally got the big win he deserved. And the best thing is now Danny will get the chance to be in some big fights which is good for Australian boxing. Just on a side note i got to say hello to John Wayne Parr at the after party for all of 30 secs but i was standing near him for a fair while and he just come across as a real friendly guy very approachable always with a smile on his face chatting to anyone who said hello. Just goes to show just because your an absoloute animal in the ring doesn't mean you can't be a gentleman outside the ring...great to see.:good
