How can ppl dislike Khan after reading this article

    Im not saying he is a bad guy just at times stupid. He's actually quite likeable most of the time then you'll wake up and read drivel in the media like today.

    We should be able to say if he says something wrong without all the "Well he once took a dying cat off the road to the vets, great lad" stuff.

    I definitely agree with that, it is rare that you get an Asian person from UK becoming a boxer with great talent and potential and media jumped on that.

    I think what he means by i'd be a superstar if i was white, isif he was white he wouldnt get booed and hated as much as he is now. I think superstar was the wrong word but thats what it seems to me is what he meant. And that is something i would have to agree with, if he was white, with his talent and being a world champ at 22 he would be loved and have a huge uk fan base.

    Also there is a huge racial element in his unpopularity. All u gotta do is go on to facebook and check the "i hope khan gets knocked out" group, and see comments on youtube to know this. There are literally hundreds of racist comments on there. For him to be expected to acknowledge the issue and keep quiet about it isnt fair either. You can tell its been on his mind alot and u can see he is clearly bothered by the boos and wants to be loved..... IMO nothing wrong with that

    He is still very popular in the UK, after Hatton i'd say he's the most well known/supported.

    Don't be such a ****, absolute nonsense :deal. Undeserving? The whole point of the game is that generally you take the title from a standing champion, he did, so what makes that "undeserving"?

    hmmm even david haye? i think hayes more supported but i think khan would sell more arenas etc. Sounds odd i know lol but there are a lot of ppl who only go to khan fights to see him lose, sad i know bt ts true. If uve been to any of khans figts in the last year or so ul know wat i mean

    I don't think Haye was that well known by the general public before he started ranting at the Klit's, Khan has had a lot of exposure since the Olympics on BBC, prime time on ITV.

    He's got a big fanbase and is loved. He's arguably got a bigger fanbase than Froch and Haye! But there will always be critics, see Calzaghe and Hatton you know them white fella's.

    He's not really done anything to get a huge fanbase so suggesting it'd all be alright if he was a whiteboy is ridiculous.

    He should be grateful for what he's got, 10s and 10s of British world champs done more than him or equalled him without anywhere near that support.

    Its the "I'd be a superstar if I was white" I'm mocking. He's not done anything to achieve that status, white, yellow, black, green, brown or purple.
