    Khan is half right.
If he was white he'd be a superstar in the UK, and overrated to ridiculous levels by Brits.

As it is - because of prejudice against Pakistani Brits and rampant hatred of muslims in British society - he is rated about where he should be on his so far modest achievements as a professional boxer.

Khan needs to fire that twit Asif Vali and get himself a decent PR agent.

The kid's got a good heart but he just slips up constantly with journalists. He needs to learn to phrase things better.

Don't mean to be pedantic but you can't be xenophobic about a person's religion. Xenophobia means a small minded fear of other nations.

Anyway, I'm not going to pretend racism doesn't exist and isn't still a problem but I have never, ever heard anyone who disliked Khan for anything approaching racial or religious reasons. I really, really don't believe that anyone but a tiny number of travelling boxing fans are racist towards the kid. I really, really don't!

OK. Anyway, **** all this boxing related talk! I want someone who is pretty sure they have the answer to Harder's joke to explain it NOW!! Cause the more I think about it the more I don't think I get it and it's driving me mad!!

Please, impress us all, show off, show how much more clever you are than me and the other thicko's! TELL US WHAT THE GAG MEANS!!! Please:admin

Yeah, he won an Olympic Gold for Great Britain, has a father who follows him to fights wearing a Union Jack waist coast, got threats from militant "islamic" extremists because he drapes himself in the Union Jack ........ and then some people pay to see him and chant anti-Paki, anti-muslim obscenities at him.

Then when he makes a comment about racism and acceptance as a British sporting start, people act like he's talking absolute ****.

    :patsch

I didn't say it was about skin colour but theres no "maybe" about it, Naz and Eubank (especially) were not as loved when they were fighting as people looking back might like to think.

Whether they came out with "shite" doesn't really affect the point I was making, which is that holding up Naz and Eubank as "ethnic minority" boxers who "the people" loved just doesn't fit the facts.

Tell you what I don't like. he is going to be spouting this all over the American press too, y'know?

Going on about how much he loves America cause they treat him well, not like Britain, where he is hated for his skin colour!

It's absolute bollocks and is going to give the USA and the World an impression of us as intolerant, yobbish, bigots! If this was in any way true, if I could have ever seen just one piece of evidence to prove his point in all the times I've seen him fight, discussed him in the pub, been with people who discuss his articles in the papers or pieces on the sports/regional news. If I could have seen this racism for myself, even ONCE then I would be behind him and congratulate him for speaking up against something that shouldn't be part of our society anymore and certainly shouldn't be used to discredit a great boxer and sportsman who (at least tries) to do his country proud.

I've not seen it though. Not once!! i have heard people who don't like him for his apparent arrogance and some who don't like his style of fighting, don't find him exciting enough or the Spadofora spuds of the World who disrespect him due to a flash knock out but never once, not once has there ever been so much of a hint of racism and these same people have just as much shite to say and often much more and much worse about white or black British fighters.

if anything, Khan should be complaining about the pathetic British pastime of denigrating home grown talent, instead of getting fully behind them, like the Yanks do. We all know this is a problem in British culture. We love to build everyone up, apparently so they feel that much better and gleeful as they bring them down. That happens to people of every single skin tone in the UK and it is a sad indictment of our jealous, scheming and snidey character!

Ofcourse bottom line is Khan IS hated by SOME PEOPLE because he is of Pakistani background and that's the being real. How much hate can one person take?, I hope Khan moves to the U.S after this fight because all some COWARDS can do is boo a boxer, or post **** about a boxer without ever steping in the ring.

    ****ing Dick Heads.

I think a lot of that "build 'em up, knock 'em down" attitude is a bit of a myth. If you look for it hard enough, then sure, you'll find it but I don't think its the issue it was in the 80s.

Khans had a VERY easy ride off the mainstream press so far, its just boxing fans and a few racists that give him the **** (for differing reasons!!), its not an problem with the British mentality or way of thinking generally.

If he really thinks that the USA is a less racist country than the UK he is gonna get an almighty shock.

He just suffers from verbal dire-ear sometimes.... instead of employing that Vali dude he should look at someone who can manage his press affairs.

Asian people generally know how to manage their cash, I'm sure he doesn't need to employ someone to do it for him!

Why should Khan put up with this **** in his own country, when he finds people in the U.S who are much more warm and respecting of his talents.

4 out of 10 people reading this thread probably dislike Khan due to either race or religion, in addition to or instead of boxing reasons.

    Jeez, come on!

You talk as if he cant leave his house because he's guaranteed to be attacked!

He's had a few boo's and had some racist stuff written on the internet about him. I'll be surprised if theres a famous boxer out there that hasnt had that as sad as it is.
