And just to add something else. Pac is much bigger in the UK than Mayweather.

Which story is more sellable to the general public:
Mayweathers (Black fighter with amazing defensive skills and a big mouth). Takes the path of least resistance to be the P4P Number 1. His fights are highly technical masterpieces but the general public just does not understand what they are seeing. Comes back from retirement to fight Marquez who is coming up 2 WEIGHT DIVISIONS, and is a defensive first fighter who against Mayweather turns into the worst offensive fighter I've ever seen.)

Pacquiao (Philipino comes from poverty and fights his way up the weight divisions, KOing HOF legends along the way and never ducking anyone. He defeats Mayweather's common opponents but does it in the most devastating fashion. Finally taking on and DESTROYING Cotto, the dangerous fighter who Mayweather ducked.

Pac is the bigger story, the brighter star on the rise, the more exciting fighter, the more original personality (when have we ever seen anyone as humble as Pac in boxing?), has the more exciting style and watchable fights.

    Pac is the draw.

I wouldnt read too much into it, its more likely that pac fought more recent and beat a british fighter more recent that the English media report it this way

No. I'm from the UK, Mayweather was known because of the Hatton fight. Pacquaio is known in his own right.

Let see who's hotter in a search on GOOGLE:
    MANNY PACQUIAO:
    3,900,000 HITS

    FLOYD MAYWEATHER:
    558,000 HITS

Pac is the draw, he's the one everyone can't stop talking about, he's the one having the exciting, competitive crowd drawing fights.

Pacquio didn't do numbers until he got Cotto's PR following. Mayweather did better numbers with common opponents. Mayweather is the draw *******.

Pac is getting his ass whipped. Start preparing yourself mentally.

No he is the "hope" of all you ass clowns. You do it every fight. It was Baldomir, Hatton, JMM, now Pacquio. You guys will discard Pac like used tissue too soon.

You want the man to lose so bad you elevate the next fighter up to mythical proportions. Then the fight shows you reality.

No, Mayweather had to fake an injury and get the Marquez fight changed to MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY (one of the biggest days for Mexican boxing) to get those numbers. I'd love to see the figures before he faked the injury, there's no doubt they were alot lower.

Pac is the draw Mrs Floydette.

Right because injuries don't happen in contact sports... Idiot. Let's not even bring the largest market crash in recent history.

Even if I throw your dumb ass that bone, one down two to go. What was the reason for not selling Hatton and DLH? :deal Silence.

You *******s better get a grip on reality.

So you just say it and it becomes true? where's your proof?

Here's some proof for you from Google.co.uk (do it yourself):
    Mayweather Jr:
    90,800 UK Hits

    Manny Pacquaio:
    245,000 UK Hits

I live in the UK and NO ONE is talking about Mayweather. People at my work are talking about Pacquaio and they know nothing about boxing and that's because of what he's achieved. Pac has moved into the mainstream here.

As I said before Pac's story is alot more sellable and reportable than Mayweather's.

The Hatton fight had bigger numbers because Hatton was undefeated. The DLH fight for Pacquaio was a joke, no one gave Pac a chance and I disgreed with the concept of it so never ordered it.

Had no idea DLH would completely **** up his rehydration.

Right, right, the same opponents you guys are using to call him a "star" are the same opponents that Mayweather beat first and did better numbers with. Still somehow you are able to spin it. Manny wasn't anything but an average fighter before Hatton, De La Hoya, and Cotto. And any real boxing fan knows the huge minuses they stepped in the ring with. What will he be after?

That is the common thread with all of you *******s. You disregard what is inconvenient. For a ******* that is usually reality.

Maybe you are reading this wrong as your *******ation has gone full blown. People "google" things they DON'T know. Maybe Manny is getting so many hits because nobody knows who the hell he is!

Just anecdotally, based on people I've spoken to who don't follow the sport, I'd say Pac is much more of a household name.

Thats true, the non boxing fan I know talked about pac after the pac-hatton. They didnt know about the floyd-hatton fight. The hardcore fan definitely know floyd though.

Pac became even more popular after pac-cotto. Everyone I know seems to be talking about it.

Average fighter before he fought DLH? You must be having a laugh surely??? He beat Barrera (LOCKED Hall of Famer), Morales (1 close defeat and 2 KO'd avenged) LOCKED HALL of Famer 2. Pac could have retired then and still been in the Hall of Fame.

And the Cotto win is better than ANYTHING Mayweather has achieved. Mayweather ducked Cotto and Pac had the balls of steel to take him on and destroyed him!

The only reality you have to face is your girlfriend Floyd on the canvas on fight night. :rofl
