I think the fact that he is Muslim is also a contributing factor. When he was announced in Las Vegas weigh in for Hatton Mayweather fight he was heavily booed by his own. He looked shocked and embarrassed. Why was it ever a problem that he had is Pakistani along side British on his trunks? I've seen other fighters such as De La Hoya(born in U.S.) entering to Mexican music in Mexican hat with Mexican flag and no one had any issues with it. However, when Khan merely displays Pakistani flag people question it. Clearly he is proud to be a Brit and proud to bring his country a medal.

As for his arrogance being the reason, thats a load of crap, for a boxer with his abilities, the kid is as down to earth as they come.

You get some Pakistanis that hate him, especially some of the boys, they think hes cocky, then they compare him to the prince and say hes nothing like him, little bit of jelousy regarding girls. But on the other hand normal Pakistani people would love him, they have never had a great boxer and probably will never get another talent like that again. Its like Filipinos or Mexicans going for their own.

I think he should never have brought the topic up. I wonder which sneaking ***** reporter got him to say this, unless a lie like what was a lie with MJ. 97Ruff on youtube (boxing analyst) who is quite popular in terms of subscriptions, asked him before the Barrera fight, "The racism comes into play", surely if he recognizes that us Brits can't be so ignorant. If I was Khan I would just leave it, I didn't particularly like the bit which said in the US they treat me like God.

Yeah I totally agree, I think people use that as an excuse for not liking him when in truth they dislike for much more sinister reasons. He always seem to come across as a nice guy when hes doing interviews and just seems confident which is no different to any other boxer.

De la Hoya's reaction was funnier, he just didn't understand what was going on

**** me! I can just imagine this!

As angry as he sounded in his post, discussing the despicable Khan, I guarantee he typed it with a big grin on his face and a slowly levitating erection. Before running off to tell all his internet friends about his first hand proof that Khan is the most disgusting mammal to ever live, well, second to Ricky, that is.
