Newbie, when you fight a competitive fight with an elite fighter, that doesn't make you exposed. :patsch

One of my top 5 favorite fighters at the moment.

Its funny I didnt enjoy the Cintron fight because I felt Martinez was too boring, and his style was like a poor man's version of Calzaghe but man what he showed against Williams was 5x more better than Calzaghe ever did, he had accuracy and power.

Martinez deserves a 2nd crack at Williams right away, if Williams doesnt give it to him hes a straight up *****.

I've been a fan since I saw the Bunema fight, just by chance. That was the first I'd ever heard of him. I enjoy his style. I can't help but wonder how much he could have accomplished had he gotten into boxing earlier with a good trainer and promoter from the get-go. He's been shafted in his last two fights, also his most high-profile fights yet. He easily earned a win against Cintron but got a draw, and at least earned a draw against Williams but got a loss. At this rate he'll have to put his next opponent in a coma to maybe earn a technical decision. On second thought, they'd probably just disqualify him.

Ever since the Bunema fight I've been a big fan, Sergio has the goods but he's a prime example of how American judges and refs are just as bad to outsiders as other places are. He beat Cintron easy and would have got the nod against PW anywhere else in the world.

Sergio Martinez is a ****ing beast! Has my utmost respect for his attitude despite the decisions in his last two fights. In boxing, the fans always know who the true winner is ;-)

    Nice thread, Georgie.

Incredible fight, one should surely appreciate Martinez as a fighter. I had Williams by a point, but it was a damn close fight and we should definitely see a rematch between those two.

Oh, and we should hang that ******* of a judge.

Not at all. He 'lost'. Pavlik won't fight 'the loser'. He is simply too small for Pavlik. Maybe more skilled but size still counts.
