Not sure Macklin would beat Pavlik but he has the potential. If taylor can knock down Pavlik I'd say Macklin could also. The thing is how much punishment can Macklin take? That for me is the defining factor in that matchup. Pavlik appears to be on a downward spiral which one has to take into consideration. 1 thing is for sure, Macklin would do a heck of a lot better then the likes of Gary Lockett and Rubio. I think he has enough of a chance to make it worth aiming for pavlik thats for sure.
