I think the Macklin v Pirog winner would be deserving of a shot at Pavlik, and whoever is good enough to win that fight would probably stand an outside chance at beating Pavlik.

However what will happen is another story, we'll just have to wait and see.

Pavlik will most likely sign to fight the winner and pull out (again) and take on Gary Lockett in a rematch.

I'd wager that I dislike Calzaghe more than you.

Going for Jones instead of Pavlik was pretty ******ed, I must admit.

Kelly's career is being dictated by outside circumstances at the moment. The infection has just started a cascade of events that led to the cancellation of the Williams fight and being forced to take a defense now to keep his belts because the ABC's are wanting some money out of him. They just cost themselves a good chunk because they won't get much from his up coming fight and it will push back a 'real' effort by 4 months or more.

Under the circumstances I think Espino counts as a mandatory, so it will be quite awhile before KP has to deal with that. For most of 2010 he'll be free to pick opponents.

    I think Martinez derailed a Pavlik/Williams fight.

Sturm is a free agent now, and says he wants KP asap. I'd still like to see Pav unify the division before he moves up.
