Anyone who says Tyson doesnt know what they're talking about. ˙˙He was 12 years old and 190 pounds (5' 8 ) - all muscle no fat˙˙ - Teddy Atlas. He also benched 250 pounds at that age and supposedly hit harder then anyone a professional middleweight fighter Bobby Stewart ever faced before. So he was a genetical freak and would have been around 210 pounds solid even without any training. And his body doesnt look roided up anyway. Pre prison at least, what he did after that I dont know.
I think some people just have alot of envy towards Tyson beacuse he was blessed with great genetics and they want to deny that and blame it on roids. :-(

    nah ..
just exchange it with 1980s or 1990s.
were there steroids for athletic use in the 50s ? and to this measure ?
i think quite the same as you about the recent 20-25 years but please exchange the numbers.

anyway , back to specific names :
    holyfield , toney , tyson , moorer , tua , roid jones , byrd , orlin norris ,
    mosley , pacquiao ,

a much better question is to ask : who do you suspect does not use steroids ?
who i suspect that did not :
pavlik , paul williams , chad dawson and their similars.

regarding briggs : it is a known fact that asthma patients use steroids as a treatment , however , i doubt if it is of the same type.
but yes , i think he ALSO uses anabolic steroids regardless of his disease.

on the contrary : the duty of proof is with the fighters.
this is how it should be today.

They were around in the late 40's and used fairly widely by the late 60's.

The sort of speculation of "naming names" makes me fairly uneasy. Without proof or admittance (a la Mosely) you are defaming individuals.

Tyson fought and lost in the under 200 limit in his last loss vs Tillman for the Olympic box-off he was under 201...turning pro he put on 15lbs of muscle. I am not saying he took Roids but his behavior outside the ring and inside(biting ears) would be indicative of Roids

Well, anabolic steroids have been used by athletes since the 1940s, so anyone since they might have been using them.
But, yes, they have become more and more widespread with the passing years.
Fight doctors and their injections have long been part of the business.

    True.
But let's get to business and slay the sacred cow :
Muhammad Ali was probably given testosterone injections at some point in time. He was known for taking whatever doctors told him to.
    Also true.

So maybe he just started using them before he was 12 years old ;-)

or maybe its because everyone around him was playing him like a fool, or that don king was screwing him around taking damn near 50% of his purse, or maybe the most obvious reason: the result of his violent upbringing. tyson admitted he couldn't live amongst society and that the boxing ring was the only place he could be himself. i swear its threads like this that make it hard to be a boxing fan sometimes. typical ESB logic, anybody who comes in shape is using steroids, anyone who isnt in shape is an unmotivated fat ass, anyone that gets punched in the face got exposed.:-:)-(

He benched in the juvenille home before he was brought to Cus. He benched for money beacuse people would bet he couldnt lift that weight. After he got to Cus he indeed did not use any weights.

Never heard of the effects of steroids and HGH on a skeletal system?

You obviously haven't heard much. Good call.

Sigh. Yes, lets blame derivatives of testosterone for that.

Tyson was given more then likely given cheque drops prior to the Holyfield fight. Feel free to look into that.
