He was a good balance to Emanuels cheerleading and kept interrupting Stewert. Fair and balanced right?

no disrespect to paul but i never thought highly of him. he is a tall fighter who has a large punch output but nothing else he does really impresses me. he seems like a nice guy who doesnt duck anyone but i just dont see anything special.

Nonsense! You say "Team HBO" as if there is some conspiracy against Martinez. Both Max Kellerman and Jim Lampley openly stated that they thought Martinez won. What happened to Martinez in the Cintron fight was terrible! He was clearly cheated out of the KO win and later the decision. Was HBO to blame for this? I don't think so. ''Paul Williams would get knocked out by Pavlik, Mosley, Mayweather or even Pacman'' you say? Williams has never been knocked out. I'm not suggesting that Pavlik or even Mosley wouldn't be able to do this, but Mayweather? Are you kidding me? He couldn't stop the Lightweight Champion, what makes you think he could stop Paul Williams? Your logic is like swiss cheese.

It's because of assclowns like you that fighters don't always fight the best challenge out there. They know that there are idiots like you that think if they lose a fight, or even have a close fight, that they are "exposed", or "hype jobs". For **** sake, shut the **** up. PW is a world class fighter that fought another world class fighter. It was a phenomenal fight that was only marred by one bad scorecard. Enjoy the sport you dumb ****.

Sure, PW may be a little overrated (especially at 160)... but why be such a negative ***** just because the guy had a tough fight?

Next time why not try... "Wow, that Martinez turned out to be a hell of a fighter after all,,, He really rose to the occasion and gave Williams all he could handle... Great fight!"

See, that wasn't so hard was it? :D

This sort of **** is bang out of order, bang out of order. What you saw last night was a world class display by 2 elite level athletes. Anybody who doesnt realise that is absolutley not worth listening to. The stamina and skill levels it takes to perform like that for 12 rounds is off the chart. Yes defence could have been better (although then people get accused of running etc) yes each fighetr could have been a little more tactically/technically polished but who gives a **** because what was produced was a great fight. I believe these 2 are by a mile the best @ 154 or at least very close to,in short my man you really do not know what I hype job is (Salita)

The rematch will be fireworks if it happens. I think it will be better than the first.

man i am so tired of these bad decission by the judges. Martinez won clearly. Look at the fight results he threw less landed at a higher percentage. When did it become that you can win the fight by punching the air, because that is what Williams did. Martinez hard and accurate punches were the more meaningful ones. I guess hbo thinks Williams is more marketable that is what this comes down to. Looks play a bigger role than skills and a better performance. I give Williams props for staying in the fight and not quitting but he did loose and he knows it. Martinez won my respect lat night. i also think he should move on and fight someone else another tittle holder and leave PW in doubt for the rest of his career. PW doesn't deserve to be in the same ring with Martinez.

Do people now at least realize he is not the nightmare for Floyd they seem to be claiming? The guy is tall with a long reach, that is where his advantages end. He's far too open defensively and inaccurate offensively to deal with a guy like Floyd, or any top notch counter-puncher IMO. Not a bad fighter by any means, but he has definitely been getting massively overrated on here.
