Wait a minute...In a Classic fight with two of the BEST fighters at 154lbs...

What you saw was a HYPE JOB????

Me and Millions of other People Saw a DAMN GOOD FIGHT!!! And it wasn't like he was fighting ROGERS MTWAGA or BRIAN MINTO or ENRIQUE ORENELAS.

After Stepping into the ring with Margarito...then Winky Wright...had a fight schedule vs. Pavlik...and once Kelly dumped out to fight a 5th place finisher of a reality show "The Contender"...Paul took-on Sergio Martinez!!!!

If Williams got exposed as a HYPE-JOB...At least it was against THE BEST!!!!

Where is your HYPE-JOB Thread about KELLY PAVLIK????

I'm not a Williams fan or anything but, come on now man. For starters two guys on the HBO team thought Williams won and the other two thought Martinez won. If that shows they're trying to convince us they did a poor job. Martinez did land good shots on PW, but Paul also landed good shots himself. Both fighters tried hard and in the end that's all you can ask for, just stop being so negative.

I was saying this for the past years Williams Kessler and Adamek are the most overrated fighters on the forum followed by Haye. Kessler is gone williams hype train had come to earth and Adamek maybe is next. by the way i'm a Adamek fan.

Adamek isn't considered a world beater. Not by anyone. Not even the Pols.

@ 147 he probably still beats everyone
@ 154 he just beat the toughest guy in the division
@ 160 he will still beat most and give pavlik a good run

    this fight doesnt change anything

This thread was about Paul the Punisher, Pavlik is another story. I see the Ghost as a tought one dimensional kid who can punch, nothing wrong with that, but he can be taken apart by highly skilled boxers (BHOP). HBO acts like Paul Williams is a cross between Ray Robinson, Tommy Hearns, and Jesus. I am just tired of all of the Hype behind Paul when he has earned it less than any other top fighter. When Paul has stepped up in class he has lost 2 out of those three fights in reality (Quintana 1 and Martinez last night). Paul is fun to watch, but he is far from a pound for pound fighter, not even close.

The difference between Kessler and Williams is two fold. 1 Williams has actaully beatten world class elite fighters 2 Williams is 27 years old and just now starting to come into his own.

Margartio, Wright, Martinez, Quintana, Phillips thumps anything that both Adamek and Kessler have done, in fact Williams at a fairly young age has done more in boxing then Froch, AA, Dawson, Bute and a bunch of fighters that rank ahead of him on P4P lists.

Is he a perfect fighter not even close, but he also isnt the most talented fighter in the world, outside of his physical gifts such as size and reach Williams lacks alot of techincal skills, but he is getting better and keeps winning fights in the process.

I dont get the distain for the kid, he is humble and works hard, and has shown he is willing to fight anyone. Yet his hater fan base is growing fast here amoung the masses.

Good post. Apparently Williams isnt allowed to get punched when hes in a boxing match or he is exposed.
