I'm not going to have much to say about the Pacquaio VS Mayweather fight because I like them both for different reasons...I love Pacmans offensive-come forward throwing combinations then get out of the way style and I love Mayweathers defensive technical counter punching style as well...they're both excellent at what they do, but I will be routing for Pacman, Mayweather thinks too highly of himself and that's his only flaw...

Mayweather Close UD.[/quote]I'm going out on a limb and saying Pacquiao UD, based on the amount of punches he throws...Mayweather is a difficult target to hit, but he usually only throws 1or2 punches at a time, where as Pacman throws 3to5 at a time, Mayweather doesn't take the risk...

He reckons RJJ is one of his favourite fighters, yet he wishes a rematch with Danny Green upon him?

Can anyone answer these questions/explain these observations?
    • Ward beats Kessler - Kessler is immediately over-rated and one dimensional, and Calzaghe's resume is suddenly diminished by his win over Kessler
    • Calzaghe beats Lacy - Lacy is suddenly over-rated and one-dimensional
    • Calzaghe beats Hopkins - claims of robbery from Hopkins and his fans alike, amid demands for an immediate rematch, claims that Hopkins is old, never turned up to fight, etc.
    • Calzaghe beats RJJ - claims that Jones is shot, has been past it for years
    • RJJ beats Lacy - RJJ is suddenly back baby!!!
    • Green beats RJJ - claims of premature stoppage from RJJ's publicist and fans alike, amid demands for a rematch, claims that RJJ is old, is suddenly shot, has been past it for years, never turned up to fight, etc.
Why is it some people can never accept a defeat, no matter how emphatic that defeat is?

You don't hear Kessler fans using the same excuses RJJ and Hopkins fans use, yet logic would suggest that Kessler's opponents of late and out-of-ring legal dramas may have had some effect on his performance that night.

You don't see Calzaghe faking low blows or complaining to the ref to get a rest and then go on to claim robbery when handed a loss, yet according to Hopkins fans, Hopkins actually own that fight.

The hypocrisy that permeates these forums is down to one thing and one thing only - bad sportsmanship. I don't understand how so many people who have no absolutely zero sense of healthy competitive rivalry and sportsmanship can be fans of the worlds toughest sport. It makes me wonder sometimes what these people are actually here for :-(

These wankers crow about how Calzaghe's best win (according to them that is, because they don't know anything about him pre-Lacy fight) means nothing now that Ward beat him.

Who was Hopkins best win? :think

Who was RJJs best win? :think

I don't think Jones wants to retire on a 1st round TKO...I could see him retiring if the fight went some rounds and then he got KO'd, but he won't want to be remembered for that fight...

There is a video on another thread of RJJ saying "if the ref stopped the fight earlier while I was still out of it, It would have been better, but by the time he stopped it...I was fine." Jones was asked-do you want a rematch? Jones said definitely. Then he was asked-a rematch in the states? Jones said- it doesn't matter, I'll come back here if I have to.

Just dont think the punters will buy that mate....and Green wont want to fight RJJ again anyway unless Green get twice as much cash......its not going to happen. :-(
