All the talk about the ridiculous score of the third judge, but people seem to forget that the other two judges scored somehow the first round for PW!? I'm not sure how you can give the round to PW unless you overlook the knock-out by Martinez, and if you are generous to PW you can give it an even. In any case, the outcome is a draw even with the third ridiculous score. How come people are not upset with the scoring of the first round?

Don't argue with "fans" what happened in a round, they twist it like a rubber prezel until it fits to their wishes. The black guy always wins and landed more and harder and better and looked better.

    i 10 -10
    ii 9 - 10
    iii 9 - 10
    iv 10 - 9
    v 9 - 10
    vi 10 - 9
    vii 10 - 9
    viii 9 - 10
    ix 10 -9
    x 9 - 10
    xi 10 - 10
    xii 10 - 9

    115 - 115

edit: no robbery at all. except 119 - 110 is crazy, "majority decision" is a fair result.

PW won the 1st rd because aside from the KD and one other shot late in the rd, he pretty much controlled the entire round.

I Felt Williams would have dominated. Boy was I wrong about martinez. He's a very solid fighter with quick hands and the ability to adjust. Great fight. I actually had it a draw but felt Sergio did more damage....less work but more damage. Not mad Paul got the nod but I have a new found respect for Martinez.

Williams won and it wasn't a robbery, but the judge who scored it 119 - 110 is a ****ing disgrace.

This score doesn't really strike me as being extremely unfair, but I have to disagree emphatically with your giving Round 12 to Martinez. It simply was not his round...:nono

Do you really think Martinez shut out Williams the last 4 Rounds?

The way the fight was going they were trading so many shots, the rounds were so close, there were several rounds that would go on a flip of a coin.

That's how I scored it,maybe if I watch it again I'd score it differently.I remember Martinez started the round good nad Williams finished it good.

I don't have a problem with a draw or Williams winning narrowly.

    1. 10 - 9
    2. 10 - 9
    3. 10 - 9
    4. 9- 10
    5. 10 - 10
    6. 9 - 10
    7. 9 -10
    8 10 - 9
    9. 10 - 9
    10. 10 - 9
    11. 10 - 9
    12. 9 - 10

    7 rounds to 4, 1 even Martinez.

Fights are scored on clean effective punching, ring general ship, effective agression and defence, and Martinez had the edge in every department other than agression. And he was using P Wills agression to score on him!

Over the course of the fight he landed the bigger shots and his in and out movement was great to watch. Rounds 1,2,3,8,10 and 11 were all pretty clear for Martinez IMO and I felt he definately deserved at least a draw. Not a robbery but there was little doubt in my mind about who had won the fight at the end.

    Close but clear im afraid.
