Sweeping generalisations are best avoided. Only morons make them.

Im Irish, living in the US so I can state objectively that NO ONE gave Salita any hype!

The only reason anyone knew him is because of his upbringing and the fact that he was an observant orthodox Jew.Thats it.

The best fighters in the Light-Welterweight division at the moment(assuming Hatton is retired) are Americans. Bradley,Patterson,Alexander and maybe Nate Campbell.

becasue he is 4-3 in his last 7

He beat the man at 160 at 175

His last fight was against an ex sparmate again two weight division below him

You dont just get to stay p4p till you retire , Was Jones Jnr on that list up until last weekend ?

BHop is a legend no question but you are saying he is still the third best fighter in the world , even know ? No way no how. Abraham would beat him tomorrow ( although at their peaks i dont know but thats not the point its Bhop NOW ! that counts )

And another than beating Margorito (who only became the man possibly by cheating) Mosleys career was more or less on its arse and know he is the 4th best fighter on the planet , at 38 !

If it wast for the fact these guys work for the company that owns the magazine and have US passports they wouldnt be in that list (certainly not that high !)

You cant say hop is 4-3 in his last 7 like that. You have to look at who he fought and how the fights went down

    Orneales - tune up
Pav - An absolute schooling of a young champ, derailing the hype train
Calzaghe - The fight was such a close loss, that it shouldnt really be held against b hop. I thought the fight was a draw, as neither man deserved to win (that fight sucked)
Wright - Was rated very highly coming into this, hop beat him back down to light middle
Tarver - Top guy at 175. Absolute schooling

Those are his last 5 fights. He is 4-1 in his last 5 fights and that loss was a verrrrrrrry close one to the best supermiddle in the world.

You are just throwing in those 2 losses to make his record look worse. Instead of last 7, lets say last 10. He is 7-3 then.... Including a long title reign.

Seriosuly what kind of random number is 7?

And looking at his last 5 fights, hes fought a very high level of comp and only lost once(very close and disputed). Thats why i have him in my top 5

    :deal

95% percent of the threads on the General Forum are troll threads. And the other 5% are just as dumb, but sincere. If no one responded to the troll threads or the outrageously stupid ones there would be no traffic on this forum whatsoever.

Some of the posters on the general forum create interesting, thought-provoking threads at times. That said, I only usually visit the general forum for a laugh so that just about sums my opinion of the place up. When threads on 'glass jaws' and 'hypetrains' are getting hundreds of responses and genuinely interesting threads are getting few responses, it does seem that people are on here to either 'nuthug' or hate rather than get involved in a decent debate:good.

He wasn't even an observant Jew, before moving to the US and converting... and if he'd agreed to do that HBO movie, he'd have lost to John Leguizamo. I hate trying to spell that name.
