Why are some people calling for Jones vs Green II?

in re-review that punch landed on jones back of head. it was a strange ****ing place for a punch to land. nobodies fault, just a freak weird thing. I would vote for a rematch based on that punch, it was truly a one in a million shot. freakish

 

I would'nt have a problem with a rematch because of where the punch actually landed and because the fight was arguably stopped too early.

Roy just got caught making a stupid mistake.

Yes hes shot, blah blah blah but I would'nt be suprised one bit if Roy won a rematch.

In fact he probably would win a rematch.

Roy got caught cold in a bad spot really earlier on.

Could happen to anyone really.

If he does fight on he should rematch Green and call it quits.

 

Well if he gets knocked out again then he can retire right?
But why not give him a rematch? The knock out was not the most devastating, it wasn't like Tarvar or Glen Johnson. More than Likely Green would have won but a rematch is a good idea because it makes sense. I think it would make money and would be good for both Green and Jones legacies.

If Jones wants to retire after getting knocked out in the rematch that would make more sense. I doubt he is going to retire right now because of how he was knocked out.

 

Maybe because some are complaining that they were not able to bet on Green. They will make sure that they can bet the next time around. Round 1 or 2 is a safe bet.

 

Green has an 80.65 ko %. He's know to knock people out.

 

So Roy can make it out of the first round for a moral victory...

RRJ himself said he wanted a rematch with Danny Green, so maybe that is why people are calling for a rematch. He said he would like a rematch and possibly have it in neutral territory...

 

A rematch? Green would probably be licking his lips with anticipation and thinking perhaps he can do it quicker this time.

And on neutral territory? Oh ... because it was the ref and judges that stole the decision away from him?

Maybe they were waving at him for an autograph which distracted him just before Green hit him with the KO punch.

 

It will not happen like Johnson did not happen. Jones still has skill and could outbox many guys, but being knocked out many times will not do him good in the long run. But if he handpicks someone who cannot punch or is smaller he can do ok. But then we know he is handpicking. Thing is if Jones beats Hopkins in a rematch, then we have to legitimize the Green win and the Johnson knockout over Jones and the Tarver knockout. You cannot have it both ways. He cannot beat Hopkins in a rematch and people say look how great he is. Then you have to say ok he was not a shot fighter or that diminished not to win, so then you say he was good but had a weak chin which then affects his ATG status.

 

The ref stopped the fight when Green was unloading a 25 punch flurry with 22 of those punches hitting the gloves! If those punches were landing,,everyone knows RJJ would have been sleeping! With Green unloading non-stop punches, Roy wasn't going to remove his guard until Green stopped punching, but the ref didn't wait for that...I think Greens punches would have slowed down or stopped within 5 to 10 more seconds, but we will never know, unless...REMATCH!!!:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy

 

Nahh, jones is old and had no reason to lose in the first place. If your a man who gets his ass kicked by a 10 yr old girl, fighting her again and kicking her ass will not remove the stain of what happened. RJJs career is OVER.
