The guy stayed on a knee for several minutes after, he was seriously hurt. Was grimacing getting out of the ring.

He got a win and in the ring but it looked like a bad sparring match more than a real fight.

When was the last time we saw a heavyweight score a knock out victory on a body shot?
Just another reason to give props to Briggs!

I like Briggs and he is actually good for the division. Briggs has a big name, punch, and personality. He stands no chance against either Klitschko but someone like Haye is possible. I'd like to see him string a few more wins together against progressively tougher competition over the next 9-12 months. A title fight late next year could be interesting.

AS some would say...LMAO. You think he isn't in shape? Drool all you want but I know how much time he's puttin in the gym and running 10+ miles almost everyday. Hell, we walked like 30 block from Wall street - lower Manhattan on weds. I was worn the **** out and he just kept on striding.

its amazing that in the decade of the 2000's , briggs has maybe 4 opponents whos name you will even recognize
    L10 McCline in 2005
KO7 47 year old ray mercer in 2005
    tko12 Lycovich 2006
and L12 to barney rubble ibragimov who was 45 pounds lighter than him and 5 inches shorter

horrendous resume briggs has...how can anyone be excited about him fighting? in the last 10 years he has managed to not fight anyone thats worth a ****.
think about all the heavyweights in the last 10 years......hes a lazy fat *******

Looks like he is still moving some heavy iron, at least for a boxer!

    Thanks for posting.

I thought Briggs was going to tone it down with the weights and do some road work. Too bad he wasn't serious, because I still say that he has a lot of the right skills to trouble Wladdy. But he ain't going to last long agianst either Klit by following his man around and taking punches while looking for exactly the opening he wants.

The pathetic nature of Briggs' resume is WAY too often overlooked. He in no way deserved the shot at the White Wolf and of course was losing that fight badly when he pulled it out. Don't forget his loss to Sedrick Fields.

Glad someone agrees with me on that one. The guy has personality but his pedigree ended in 1998.
