Some of you may think that this thread is worthless, but about 20% have voted for RJJ as only a Hall of Famer or less.

For the record, I voted for RJJ as an ATG.

    Ignorant FAIL thread.

Prime RJJ is an ATG hands down. Why don't you start one about Tyson and Holyfield too?

1st man to start at MWT & win a HWT title in 100 yrs.
    4 weight champion.
Insane ability, rarely losing a rd at his best.
Didnt have a real loss until he was 34 thru about 50 pro fights.

He did lose to guys that are not all time greats or even HOF worthy, now it depends how you look at it........but are you not supposed to judge a fighter on his entire career rather than how good he looked in his prime? How about how they came back from losses? Stuff like that? Because Jones came back and got sparked. His career ended in a spark, we know that much.

Something I see and hear in great repetition! "look at him in his prime"

His prime ended when he lost right? Silly me:patsch

    Meh!

The guy is an all time great no doubt. The only thing that's hurting his legacy is he stayed too long when he should have retired 5-6 years ago.

No he didn't. He was never a lineal champion, and a court judge upheld Rocky Rocchigiani's right to the WBC title, which Roy had voluntarily vacated before fighting for the other titles.

Prime means **** all, you can't be rated an ATG because you beat bums in your prime. Hopkins and Toney were his best wins. Who else? Virgil 'over the' Hill?

I was never really a big fan but to even suggest that a guy, who in his prime people were routinely comparing to Ray Robinson is not an ATG and perhaps, inexplicably not a hall of famer when only a moron would think one of the most famous fighters of all time wouldn't make the goddamn hall of fame...Screw it. Dumb threads get dumb answers. So here:

Roy Jones? Who is Roy Jones? Duuuuuuuuuh. fasdnflkasdfjnlakdsfnlaskdfnapoeifhaofnfasjnvipawnefianfiawgo pfffffffftttttttttttttttttt booooooooooooooooooooo whuppawhuppawhuppawhuppa frrrrrg spshshshs
