I already acknowledged that technically it is all geographically Asia as it was historically known. It's on the Asian continent. You Brits use the term Asian broadly to refer to anyone on the Asian continent. Racially, however, Pakistanis, Turks, and Indians are classified as Caucasian, not Asian. So in that sense, we yanks are correct to only refer to Oriental people as (racially) Asian, while you lot are also technically correct in your own way referring to non-Orientals hailing from that continent as Asian. We're both right. :D

Thats the 1st i've heard of it:hey They dispise success over here & it's all down to envy/jealousy & much safer to cuddle upto the gallent loser as in Bruno/Cooper, bravo you working class chappie you, nice try ect, can't have winners over here as it may give people idea's that there is hope in life & the rulers here would'nt be to happy with the rabble getting above their station, build-em up & tear-em down, nothing changes.

Hopefully Khan can go on to even bigger/better triumphs, he's a brave gutsy kid & getting out of the UK & getting thrown into the deep end at the wildcard gym is the best thing thats ever happened to him.

I remember the exact same thing with Naz, I was about 7 and he was fighting Manual Medina and the adults I was watching the fight with were saying they hoped he lost because he was cocky and arrogant and my response as a child was "but he's british."

I'm pretty sure they spouted some crap about him being a "Paki."

His talent and age and the fact he spoke about being the youngest ever british world champion made people draw parallels with naz and a lto of the negativity was hence projected at him.

I'll always support a british fighter.

I can understand him fine mate. But then I know him,and he writes like he talks. Like a pissed up Apache:yep (oops. Hope thats not racist)
You can be a right abusive twat sometimes sat behind your keyboard:nono
Anyway on the thread topic. The Audley factor has definately effected peoples view on hyped up amateur stars. People were on Kahns back from day one.(me included) People will pounce on any physical or technical deficiency shown. It's happening with Degale now. Because of his profile and the gold medal. I'm sure we used to get behind our lads pre Audley.Robin Reid and Richie Woodhall never used to get this stick.I know he did'nt have the amateur profile, but we never used to jump on Benns case when he got wobbled or got stopped.
There are other elements to the hate and I dont think Kahns fans did him any favours early on with their flags. But boxing wise(and this is a boxing forum) we need to get behind the lads. Because Kahn is going to prove all the doubters (i hate haters.Except where MH is cocerned:yep) wrong, and become one of our best ever, hopefully turning the Audley factor on it's head.:good
