4 major belts in each division. When a fighter has one belt, then wins another, he has unified those belts. If he wins all 4 belts, he has unified the division, and becomes undisputed. Linear champion, means beating the guy who has established himself as the clear #1 in the division (most often by becoming undisputed or beating the previous #1)
Lineal is the man who beat the man. If you beat the current lineal champ, you're the new lineal champ. To create a new lineage, consensus #1 needs to fight consensus #2, and the winner is champ. Unification is just two strapholders fighting each other. Usually the Ring Magazine champs are also the lineal champs, although there are some exceptions. For example, Wlad is the Ring Champ but isn't the lineal champ.
