You know, I was thinking the same thing...Peterson is a nice guy and all, but he needs to pay someone that's going to fully prepare him. Nazim Richardson would be perfect, he wouldn't mess with the offensive gameplan because it's already there, but man, he needs to do something with the defense. Slipping punches and a disciplined defense is a must for this guy to get to the next level. Either than or stop fighting slick fighters.

What's clear NOW is that Floyd would have to FIGHT Williams. Which is exactly why he wouldn't accept the fight.

That is something that should be clear in everyone's mind at this point.

i'm not saying that PW would overwhelm or even catch up to Floyd, but think about it. If Martinez, who cracks hard as **** can drop Williams, and then continue to commit full-fledge power shots, but never slow Williams down, How is Floyd gonna be able to slow down the attack with a few pot-shots and counters? Floyd would have to fight him. And especially in the latter rounds where Floyd slows considerably, he could possibly be forced into a few situations where he has to trade furiously...

    I'm just sayin.

You're right, and the thing is, Floyd lacks power.

Floyd's shots are gonna feel like mosquito bites on Paul's chin.

And you KNOW Floyd doesn't like to get into a fight.

Is Williams your favorite fighter? :huh

Otherwise, I am at a loss to explain your fascination with Pdub.

I can't agree with you here bro. According Rafael, in spite of the fact that Williams/Martinez sold less than 3000 tickets, Pavlik/Williams will not happen unless they split everything 50/50.

how the **** is he a KO waiting to happen, he took a shot its boxing! It happens, I mean unless you are FM Jr it happens to everybody!

He got up and fought his ass of to a close decision i been told yah Martinez is Quintana on steroids and Paul still decided to fight him and is willing to give him a rematch. what more can you ask of a boxer.

I am latino and a Cotto fan like you, but just because Martinez is hispanic dont mean he won dog, take of the blinders.:deal

Maybe with the weight cutting he won't gas as much/quick, wouldn't you think?? And btw, what's fair for 1 is fair for both , meaning Martinez had to train for PW with the same time/notice... actually Martinez didn't have anything coming in the future and even had tO ACCOMODATE WILLIAMS AND FIGHTING @160, A WEIGHT ABOVE HIS USUAL 154.... HOW 'BOUT THAT???:admin

ABSOLUTELY wanna see a Rematch BUT even though I thought Martinez won but wouldve been happy with a Draw, I DEFINTELY favor Williams to win the rematch, may do so easily too.

Martinez fought the best he could, Williams can go back and correct his mistakes which will be the big difference.

But who knows instead GOOSEN is out trying to make Hopkins-Williams?!?! So who knows what he thinks.

Still would like to see Pavlik-Williams (and I favor Pavlik by KO).

Yea i definately would give him props. However It didnt really look after the post fight interview that he wanted to. If he did he would have said yea. He is always so loud about calling people out but when he was asked about a rematch he was very timid and say "if" his team wants it then yea. Thats kind of like saying not really unless im forced too.
I think he knows he was as prepared as can be while Martinez was still a replacement.
A fully prepared Martinez beats him easier.
