The greatest trick Floyd ever pulled was convincing us he can lose to Pacquiao

Pac is a welterweight, does beating the **** outta cotto mean nothing? So what if mayweather is taller with more reach, they both weigh 147 and its up to pac to figure out how to overcome any of floyds physical attributes. PW has a huge height and reach advantage over mayweather but I dont see you guys trying to discredit that fight...

Pacquiao beating a legit welterweight doesn't make him a legit welterweight (size, weight). Jones beat heavyweight John Ruiz. Was he a legit HW? Pac was 144 at the weigh-in and never weighed as much as a true WW nor he had WW height and reach. He's very short for a welter, and that's all good for Floyd. Long armed guys (normal WWs) with a reach advantage have a better chance due to style reasons.

You mention SSM as a legit welterweight champ but why isn't Pacquiao a legit champ, when he beat Cotto who's been in there with some of the best welterweights and been competitive everytime>? SSM might be a bigger challenge but besides him there is only Pacquiao right now, or do you think there's another welter more deserving of a fight with FMJ?

the only thing that i had against this fight is the obvious size difference. a great small man may beat a good big man, but a great small man will have problems with a great bigger man. that's why i want to see this fight at a catchweight of around 145 just to make it a little fair for pac. all other factors won't matter anymore. you cannot fault floyd for his style or having a very good defence likewise you cannot fault pac for having a very good offense.

Pac is a legit top WW guy but not a legit WW SIZED guy. Shane Mosley it the true champ who would've deserved both the Pac and the Floyd fight, but actually both camps saw the Margarito fight (Margarito-Cotto too), and saw how a true WW looks like in motion. Floyd chose based on money and size. Like he did it about 9 months ago.

After the JMM fight - and just before Mosely spoiled the party,
Manny was mentioned to Floyd and you can see Mayweathers
eyes lit up and he was eager for the Pacman.

I reckon he was more annoyed at Mosely, because Floyd was
going to start pushing for Pac in that interview, until he was stopped.

Who was left to fight after Hatton?

Plaster Margacheato. Floyd could either fight a no name bum for 8million and be stuck with bob Arum. Or he could leave Bob Arum, get the same 8million plus the lineal title, and secure the richest Fight in boxing history which Arum said would never happen.

My boy P-Dub got boxed silly a couple of months after the Hatton fight by Quintana. Yeah everybody was calling for this fight after that.

Cotto never could muster the courage to say he wanted to fight Floyd even though he was the challeneger and Floyd was the champ.

    Mosley ducked Mayweather twice.
