    Nice one Bomber! :good

I remember McLoud, he looked a decent prospect but like you said just didn't get much of a chance - one of the best players in the rezzies around that time. Went off to QPR and then ended up playing with Lee Trundle at Swansea, not sure where he is these days though.

Used to see him at away games in the Everton end after he'd left, always seemed a top lad. Had no idea he was Tony Dodson's cousin, suppose you learn something new every day!

    Anyway, back to the topic...

I'm looking forward to this one, should make for a much more eye-catching fight than the Smith-Quigley scrap.

Can't wait to see the Echo Arena packed out again. The atmosphere last time was something special, but I'm sure this fight can top that. Hopefully Frank will put another cracking undercard on again. Who knows, the Brook-Jennings title fight may even get re-arranged for the same bill?

Brook v Jennings same bill! Quality

  4. Only just saw this comment, yeah Kev McLeod was a cracking prospect, he had a left foot like Sheedy. Unfortunately for him, initially, not only was Walter Smith unsure whether to play him in the centre or on the left, but he was also having to battle it out with fellow young nippers Gazza, Pembridge, Ginola & Mark Hughes for places. Oh yes, Walter was a champion for playing the young lads. Like I mentioned though, saw him play a cracking centre-mid role against Chelsea, think we won 1-0, he looked the bollocks.

Wasn't to be though, upon Walter's sacking & Moyes' appointment, it was thought Kev would get a chance, but he was loaned out to QPR where he did brilliantly well & helped get them to the play-offs, so well in fact that Moyes offered him a new contract in 2003. Kev decided to join QPR permanently though & the rest is history.

Sorry if I sound like bennie (no offence mate) but I'm just overjoyed to know YNWA won't be blasted all over the Echo Arena again.

I have never seen any of the class, quality and power that Smith supposedly posesses. He just looks distinctly average. Dodson on the other hand really impressed me in the Quigley fight and I reckon he'll beat Smith
