I'm lead to believe that DeGale is the biggest slapper in boxing history!

This is correct, lets give him a bit more time,if you judge Warrens new generation I think Gavin is progressing the best, but Degale is most certainly under the most pressure, more will be expected of Degale because of that gold but his learning curve maybe slower than the rest,he may find it longer with to develop his style I dont think it helps that they are showcased together if Gavin gets a title shot first which might be likely does it mean Degale is a failure ,certainly not..............

A fight between an injury free Calzaghe and the late 90's attacking Hopkins would have been awesome!

JDG will come good, the talent is there, he just needs to stop talking so much ****, it's not charismatic, endearing, just utter tripe.

Yea, he comes across as a right ass, dissing david haye and giving off the vibe that the Mayweathers learned more from him than he did off them lol

Btw what is the issue between him and haye? does degale reckon there's not enough room for 2 light skinned black men in the fight game?

Someone told him he had some charisma (obviously lying to him), he just needs to stick to the boxing, and stop trying to be a character.

Whenever I watch him I think hey whats that gay chap doing in the ring, does he not want to hurt the other fella. Some of the women boxers are more entertaining to watch than big mouth.

As for those saying he is still learning, then what has he learnt over the last year or so? To me he is not progressing at all. He wants to get himself a decent trainer, train more and talk less. When he can deliver in the ring then he has right to talk **** but till then he should keep his mouth shut.

    I cannot stand DeGale.

He is a total embarrassment to british boxing. A total slapper.

I might issue an apology on the GF to any fight fans from other countries that have the misfortune to watch him. We should disown him.

    Seems a bit strong mate

He's only in his 5th fight. Give him a few more.

By the way I'm not a fan but definately give him some more time.

To me he looks like a singer who hasn't quite found his voice. He can't seem to find his style so he's been playing around with a few.

I'm real supprised that everybody is on his back already though.

No, he was always a volume puncher/slapper. He just had a lot of soft tko's early in his career.

DeGale doesn't have Calzaghe's volume, so he really needs to change it up if he wants to not get walked down.

He is no way worse than Calzaghe. Anyone got that gif from the hopkins fight? That is hilarious. DeGale just doesn't turn over that left hook often enough its not like he tries it on jabs and straight like joe often tried. One punch and after 5 fights he already look a lot better than joe ever did.

The lad still has a lot to learn but i feel embarrased for him when he is fighting because of the way he slaps, his trainer needs to sort it out quickly if he to get anywhere near titles in the future, He must watch his fights after hes fort and seen the way he slaps surely.
