maybe Kronky can weave his magic and steer Willy back onto the path of righteousness and glory. Perth Kronk where the realisation of dreams is our forte.
Elomar wasn't the deep end...fair enough to fight Broner in the US if he was on top of his game but he was still climbing back and in ill health so Craig said.
Lets not foget that Perth is a very small place everyone pretty much knows everyone, you stop at the traffic lights and you will recognise the person sitting in the car opposite you. If Craig has parted ways with William i hope it was on good terms and Kickett picks himself up and finds a good gym with a good team.
Contenda; "Maybe he wasn't a shining star to begin with? Talented yes, but up to some of the outlandish wraps he was getting from people....." Interesting comment Contenda: personally, I admire Craig and Willy as a team; I think they could increase the learning and scope of their skills, maybe they need to step outside of the circle and share a little knowledge; no one should ever stop learning....I truly believe that Willy is a star, and was a shining star; I felt this from his first beginnings in the game; I even voted for him in his first year as a potential contender; he was a shining star from the begining.(these are not shallow words either, I have spent a long time in the game boxing and training) I think that perserverance now is the thing Willy should do, with his couple of disappointmenting losses it is a difficult thing for him to deal with now; I suggested a while ago, indirectly to Craig and Willy, through a forum post - that defence tactics would be the best way or utility to learn now, and have Willy practise, so as to resurrect Willy's career and position. I saw a video of him fighting, at that time, and I saw him running into deliver a blevy of punches, but with his hands down and I saw him getting tagged seriously....this is poor practise........Willy is much better than this..... he could be the golden lamb...I would like to see him have a slight makeover....where defence and evasion are primary tactics, and where he works to a concentrated strategy to hit and not be hit. grinna is atigerofold....
We are all entitled to an opinion and I have no beef respecting yours, hence though, we'll agree to disagree on certain points. However you may wish to read my post a little more thorough as I actually compliment Craig and his training, albeit I do not know him personally, only outside looking in. His results speak for themselves. I too have watched boxing for over twenty years and been involved with certain fighters and trainers in recent times more so and my opinion, for what it's worth, was that Willie wasn't up to the 'rising star/future world champion' bull**** that was being heaped on him. Unfortunately, every young up-and-comer wins 6-7 fights and there going to be a this, and going to be a that. I never questioned if Willie had talent, I did and stand by the fact that I thought he was over-rated and not up to other peoples claims. If some of the statements on here are true, i.e, the booze and the drugs, well that's a sad thing, for boxing, but more so the young mans everyday life as that's only a road to **** and I do hope he kicks that to the side and get's back to focusing on training and hopefully re-building himself. Regional title and good domestic fighter - yes defitnitely. World-champion and what not which people had him at, no. Again, only my opinion.
:rofl:rofl:roflmaybe you could forum post Craig in between rounds and give him advice :rofl:roflor maybe your delusional :yep
